I didn't mean to portray The Mud Bowl as the same type of upset that this would be. Just that it was a legendary game, and it's not much fun being on the losing end of such a game. Kind of like the '76 Red Sox.

 

 

I don't remember the Mud Bowl victory being that surprising a win for CovCath. The comeback the Colonels made in that game from being down 21 points was remarkable, but CovCath only lost to Highlands in the first matchup that year because a fg sailed wide as time expired. Those were two very evenly matched teams. Quite unlike this game.

Congrats Scott on making the playoffs. As for the game,HHS 49-0.

Everybody remembers the Fisk game; but hardly anyone outside of the local area remembers that we went on to win the series.

Just having a little fun with you. The Fisk game was in 75, game six. The Red Sox did lose some legendary games though, like in 78 when Bucky hit the big one. And of course 86 to the Mets.

This will be Scott's second appearance in the postseason. They have an all-time record of 1-1. Highlands is making their thirty-sixth appearance in the postseason. They have an all-time record of 88-19. The two schools have met once in the playoffs, with the Bluebirds winning 52-0 in 2002.

First congrats to Casey Fisk and the Eagles on making the playoffs for the second time ever. It's a big step in taking the program to the next step and getting players to come out and play. As for the game I don't believe the Eagles have much of a chance.

Casey Fisk is a Class Act. Nice to see him back with football-his true love. I know he was amazing in that other sport at NKU but he IS a football coach. I see the Eagles just getting better from here! But, this week is not when it starts, sorry BIG CASE, gotta root for Trey J and the BOYZ.

That shows that there are 12 Scott fans on here, or, there are 12 people that have gotten on this thread that are either a Scott fan or just want Highlands to lose. Sorry, but I just don't see Highlands letting up after the issues they had with Central last week. Unfortunately, Scott has to be on the other end of HHS' pent up frustration all week with their narrow victory last week.
