I told you he had some real hang time...

I hope the coaches of the teams who play RH this season have the same insight as you Sir, and include this brilliant strategy as part of their game plans... :thumb:

This brilliant strategy as you put it seemed to work fine in the district tourny last year, all Im saying is the kid needs to find a jump shot to be a really nice player. :thumb:

When you can shoot a lay-up whenever you want why shoot from 15 ft.

Might come in handy in college. But he has time to work on it.

Bobbyearl???????Your still alive??????? Gosh I thought you got called to a secret mission or something .....MIA maybe???? Good to see you back.

Well, you all certainly have a good debate going on , so I thought I would let you all in on a little secret. Article 6, section 2aaa/bb in the KHSAA bylaws apparently allows a player to come back and complete his eligibility

after a tragic accident. There was a player named Josh Clements that was able to use this little known bylaw last year after a car wreck. I have appealed to the KHSAA to let Jon VanHoose come back and play the Month of March ONLY

under the medical "redshirt" bylaw. While I havn't heard back from them yet, I feel good about his chances, and am looking forward to having a fun March with you all, and hopefully getting a rematch with that pesky bunch of kids from Elliot County. Since March is really the only part of the Season, that matters, I'm going to go ahead and still nominate Jon for your list, and hope he is allowed to compete with Matt Thomas on the "ALL UNIVERSE TEAM"

What time does the spaceship leave?

:dancingpa

Hey shooter good to see you back....NOT!!!!!!! JK.... How can a player go play college basketball, and come back and play in a high school basketball tourney??? Isnt Jon playin college ball????

I thought he was playing college ball , too. Wow can they really come back and play just the tourney ! ! That would really be something.

Good Grief guys, it's a joke. You know,,,,,funny, haha!!!

Shooter, you know better than to play jokes. Everyone's nerves are on edge, we can't even seem to discern between this season, last season, storied histories, let alone weed out jokes from amongst the drama!:walk:

I had a feeling it was something like that . The spaceship thing was a give away after I read it to my husband. Good one though!

And all I'm saying, is I hope every coach that opposes the Hill this season follows the same game plan... really. :thumb:

Shooter, if you find out when that spaceship lifts off, let me know, I may go with you...

Fastbreak, if Russell plays Rose hill this year watch for Jon Vanhoose to guard Jackson outside of 15 feet. Look real close.;)

I will, if I'm not already on my way to Mars... :thumb:

Too bad Mars is not a new member of the 64th District. We could possibly reverse the ill-advised vote by Rose Hill to seed.

I thought I better lighten the mood in between the Heavy lifting of GG and the Kingfish. Something tells me they will have a season long love/hate relationship. Unfortunately, I will miss some of the action this year, but

I plan on dropping whatever I'm doing to find a way to get to the Rose Hill /

Elliot County game, that should be a classic, and something tells me Rick Mays will guard Jackson :D Ashland and Rose Hill should also be a fun game, kinda like "back in the day":jump:

I'm sure Euton and Jackson have both continued their development as there is a big difference between Freshmen and Sophmores. I'm also sure that no team in the 16th will outrun Elliot County, you will have to control their pressure and the ball to have a chance to beat them. Raceland , Ashland, Fairview, East Carter will all have good teams this year, and look for Russell to be a lot better than you all are giving them credit for. It will take a few games for every one to learn their roles, as it would anyone trying to replace 6 strong seniors, but they will be very capable of an upset or two before the year is out,

Well, gotta go, just got the first notice on the Space Shuttle

Beam me up Scottie:laugh:

As a bit of an olive branch to Golden Gopher, I am going to say that Matt Thomas is the best senior in the region. In my mind, there is no doubt about it. He is a very deserving young man.

However, in the spirit of honesty and at the risk of bending the olive branch, I have to add that there is no way by any stretch of partisan imagination that Bonner is a top ten player. Coleman may contribute more to the maroonies than will Bonner. Bonner will miss the bumping and shoving of McDavid.

Bonner, I am sure is a good kid but he is a banger, not a player

sideline what criteria are you using to put Ethan Faulkner ahead of Jonathon Ferguson?, the only possible category he could be ahead of Jonathon on is assists.
