Lebron not a SuperStar?

Featured Replies

I'm watching first and ten on ESPN 2 and Skip Bayliss just said Lebron James was not a superstar and he was hurting the talent around him.

What is Skip on? :confused::confused:

Skip Bayless, on a very rare occasion says something intelligent but this isn't one of them.

I watch 1st and 10 everday.

One of Bayless' big argument is that Lebron has been extremely overhyped and not living up to his reputation.

He makes some valid points often times, but it is pretty evident Lebron has lifted the play of his teammates... even though when it comes to knocking down a jumper or making a big shot, he has yet to deliver.

Its amazing how a player like Lebron has a very rare bad game and people overeact about it. Lebron James is a huge star! No ifs, ands, or buts about it. He carried his team to the finals last year!

Lebron has no supporting cast, and they've done nothing over the offseason to improve.

Did we forget the 30some points in a row he scored to help put his team in the NBA finals last year?

I agree hes not smart at all..:creepy:

All Skip does is yell. And 95 percent of the time he's completely wrong. I hate him and his raised voice.

I am not sure why ESPN has kept Skip around. He is not very good at his job. Wrong as always. I turn the channel 75% of the time when I see him on TV.

Skip's job is to disagree with whoever he is sitting across from, no matter what the topic.

Because he creates discussion like this outside of the show 1st and 10. There is many times he is referenced on this website.

His role is to be a vilian and disagree with everything.

And to clarify what I think Bayless' thoughts are on Lebron, he feels Lebron is not a great NBA player / Superstar even though everyone portrays it that way - even his teammates which wait around for him to deliver in big moments or to generate the offense. With the exception of his 30 points in a row last season (which was aboslultey amazing but is more of the exception than the rule), I see somewhat where he is coming from. But yes, I do ultimately disagree with his argument.

Skip Bayless called Eli Manning a coward for coming out of the week 1 game vs. Dallas with an injury in his throwing arm. Let me remind you that Eli threw a TD pass after the injury, but decided not to go back in when there was under 2 minutes to go , down by 10. That makes him a coward, according to Skip. Skip Bayless is an IDIOT.

LeBron is a star and without him the Cavs are in the lottery. However; he is flawed, and a bit overhyped.
