5 Actors Who Have Never Given a Bad Performance

Featured Replies

I can't think of a bad performance by Tom Hanks, he's even good as an animated character.

I believe this list starts and ends with John Wayne:cool:

And the white coach from "Remember the Titans."

Will Patton

He played in 'The Client', 'Armageddon', 'Gone in Sixty Seconds', 'The Mothman Prophecies', 'The Punisher' & 'The Postman'.

I always thought John Wayne was a terrible actor. But he made some great movies.

Steve McQueen

The coolest man to walk the face of the earth

Daniel Day-Lewis

Owen Wilson

Robert Deniro

Leonardo Dicaprio

Brad Pitt

You liked him in 'Romeo + Juliet'???

IMO the most important thing about being an actor is to entertain. I always find his movies entertaining.

I pretty much agree with your breakdown.

Off the top of my head, I'll try to think of 5 actors who I've yet to see drop a dud on the screen...which doesn't mean they haven't. It just means I haven't seen the movie, or I don't think it was bad.

Edward Norton

Philip Seymour Hoffman

Brad Pitt

Johnny Depp

Denzel Washington

Must be a generational thing.
John Cazale's a great lesser known actor... He lived a short life, but he was in some AMAZING movies, and he did an amazing job in the limited time that he had.

I believe that he was in only 5 movies, but they included some of the very best.

1. The Godfather

2. The Godfather Part II

3. The Deer Hunter

4. Dog Day Afternoon

5. The Conversation

Daniel Day-Lewis

Owen Wilson

Robert Deniro

Leonardo Dicaprio

Brad Pitt

Daniel Day Lewis was great as Bill the Butcher in Gangs of New York and also in Last of the Mohicans.

Lewis in Gangs of New York imo is one of the best performances of all time.

I really like him as well, but I think he has improved. I wasn't terribly impressed with some of his earlier movies, but more recently any movie he's in is good, IMO...and his performances are outstanding. I'd probably rate him as my second favorite actor, right behind Edward Norton.

Oh yeah, and the screen is never worth turning from if Samuel L. Jackson is on it, screaming some curses. It doesn't necessarily take talent, but let's face it, Sam Jackson is the man.

And I'll go ahead and discuss one more to make it 5: Clare Danes is going to marry me some day. There's nothing much else to say about that.

I can think of 3 films that aren't worth watching even though he is in them. I think you know what they are.
