October 25, 200718 yr Guess you never saw Wild Wild West:lol: Wasn't a great movie, but I don't think he did a bad job acting in it.
October 25, 200718 yr Will Smith, really? I cant think of a performance he was good in... Im not a fan! I like everything he's in. I think he's a good actor. He's getting paid around $20 million per movie these days, so apparently someone else thinks he's a good actor too.
October 25, 200718 yr Edward Norton George Clooney Johnny Depp Ben Kingsley Russell Crowe Tom Hanks Brad Pitt (he may be a hollywood pretty boy but his movie selections are outstanding)
October 25, 200718 yr And Britney Spears was getting $2 million a stop on her last tour. Okay. I don't like Will Smith anymore. Is that better?
October 25, 200718 yr I forgot Christian Bale. I think he's a GREAT actor. Thought he was great in 3:10 to Yuma, Batman Begins, American Psycho, and Harsh Times.
October 25, 200718 yr I forgot Christian Bale. I think he's a GREAT actor. Thought he was great in 3:10 to Yuma, Batman Begins, American Psycho, and Harsh Times. The Machinist was also a very good movie, really his break out role imo.
October 25, 200718 yr The Machinist was also a very good movie, really his break out role imo. Sadly enough I haven't gotten to see that yet. My roommate owns it though, so I will watch it soon.
October 25, 200718 yr I'll add these guys to my list as well: Phillip Seymour Hoffman (an extremely underrated actor) Denzel Val Kilmer Paul Giamatti Robert Downey Jr. Daniel Craig
October 25, 200718 yr I'm a huge fan of Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones. I'm sure they've had some sub par performances, but I can't think of any right off the top.
October 25, 200718 yr Every actor has at least one film in which it has not been great. My personaly favorite is Denzel Washington. The man can flat out act!
October 25, 200718 yr Wow! So much hard work to be so horrifically wrong! Most of the movies you mention were, in reality, quite good and quite successful. But every actor that can possibly be named has a film or two that was less than the best. However, this thread was actually focusing on the actor...NOT the movie. True, but the thread title was 5 Actors Who Have Never Given a Bad Performance. I didn't say that any of the actors that you mentioned were bad actors. In the right roles they are some of the best of the last 30-40 years. However, Williams and Pacino are notorious for overacting when they try to carry a poor script. Even if you narrowed it down to one bad performance apiece it is pretty hard to defend: DeNiro in Showtime (Won a Razzie Award), Williams in Death to Smoochy and Bicentennial Man (Nominated for a Razzie in both), Nicholson in Man Trouble (Nominated for a Razzie Award for Worst Actor), Pacino in Gigli and Revolution (Nominated for a Razzie Award for each), Jones is the only one that hasn't been nominated or won a Razzie Award but did you see Meteor Man or Soul Man? I like all 5 actors but to say that they have NEVER given a bad performace simply isn't true.
