“I’m sure (he’ll be out) the next two weeks, and we’ll have to see how that responds after the bye week (Nov. 3),” Brooks said at his weekly news conference."

That definately sucks, but if there's one position on the team that UK has great depth at, its RB. The Cats will be OK, especially since Locke is getting some more experience.

UK will be fine without Little. Derrick Locke is at least his equal running the football, IMO. The dropoff would come in receiving and pass protection, but I think we have enough quality depth there to compensate. I think Dixon has some skills, but his fumble problems would keep him on the sideline if I were coach. Locke would be my main ball carrier and then I'd use Dixon or someone else for passing situations if I wasn't comfortable with Locke in that role. The only player UK absolutely can't afford to lose at this point is Andre Woodson.

The block that Locke threw on the winning TD pass was excellent. It gave Andre a clean alley to make the pump and the throw. He is sure stepping up big as a true frosh! Even came from left to right to make the block since O line protection was sliding to the left.

I believe Alfonso Smith will be available this week.

I read he was nearly 100% and would be in the rotation with Dixon and Locke.

They don't need him.

Seems to me they have needed everyone they have this year so far.

Rich said Saturday that Raffy should be ready this week. Could Rich be playing the games some other coaches play? A little smoke perhaps....

If he's not ready, it would be nice to have Smith back 100%. I have said it for two years, Dixon just scares me out there. He puts the ball on the ground way too much. Would be great to just have Smith back as gunner on punts. Locke looked a little lost out there in his place.

I say give Locke the ball and block.

I say give Locke the ball and block.

Major durability issues will come if this slight freshman has to carry too much of the rushing workload.

Locke takes too many punishing hits and will work on gaining size and strength while retaining his outstanding speed in the off-season workouts.

The Cats greatly need Raphael Little to return to stay competitive in the grueling SEC conference.

They don't need him.

Your comments make me scratch my head so much that I have very little hair left!
