October 8, 200719 yr Probably not new, but what does ESPN or Tennessee see in him? Other than that he can run, he's no good.
October 8, 200719 yr The Titans have an awful team with a pretty good record. Name me one WR he has worth a dime and one proven RB? Fischer is one of the best in the NFL and Young has taken that team to a much better record then it should be. I was never a huge Young fan until I heard the story about him stopping his car to pass ball with a bunch of little kids and their dad's. I've also seen a lot of little things he has done at Tenn. that most QB's just don't do to help build the teams chemistry. He flew all his WR's to where he grew up so they could bond and understand him. He also did stuff for his Oline. Not to mention the fight when he stood up for his WR. I've gone to not caring much for him (mostly because I hated watching him throw a ball) to having a lot of respect for his game (especially after he willed the win vs USC). He is still young and lets his emotions get the best of him at times but I think saying he stinks is pretty far off. What if he had Boldin and Fitz, Johnson+ Hush, Harrison and Wayne?
October 8, 200719 yr Have him one of my fantasy teams ( LJ also ) but hey just picked up Warner. I should start rockin now:D

Sounds like a really nice guy. I just don't think he can throw the ball, and that the Titans are a better team than they are given credit for, I don't care that they have no Pro Bowlers. Also they have one of the best coaches, and a brilliant offensive coordinator. The line is solid as well, including Mawae, who's great. As for the Leinart comparison, his QB rating is barely lower on a team that is awful compared to Tennessee. I just think he is significantly overrated.
October 9, 200719 yr Vince is a winner and as long as he keeps leading the Titans to victory I could care less what everyone thinks of him. And as long as Coach Fischer is in Nashville I like Tennessee's chances of being successful.
October 9, 200719 yr Author So you think the Titans have more weapons on offense than the Cards? I think Tennessee has a significantly better O-line, significant enough to the point where those weapons can hardly get used.
October 9, 200719 yr Arz Oline whipped Pitt all over the field last week. I'd take Arz's offense everyday of the week over Tenn. Fitz/Boldin/Edge/Pope/Johnson! It's all good though. We all have our own opinions. I was never a huge Young fan but he has always been a winner. His throwing form wears on me but he wins and the Titans should be really bad especially after losing Pacman! Fischer is about as good as they get!
October 9, 200719 yr I will admit I was wrong about Young coming out of college. I thought he would never contribute at all. In some respects, I am correct, but for some reason his teams continue to win. He posseses the winner intagibles that some guys just have. Jordan had it; Bill Russell had it; Tom Brady has it... I am not putting Vince on their level, just that he has some of those same qualities... I believe he elivates the play of his teammates through his leadership. I am not sure if he has enough to take Tennessee all the way, but I guarantee there is no team looking forward going up against the Titans - despite his erratic play.
October 9, 200719 yr This is one of the threads that you see and just scratch your head. He is only in his 2nd year, left college early, and he is winning a lot of football games. I do love how over time Young continues proving critics wrong. And well this thread has already been proved wrong.
October 10, 200719 yr He's still a bigger threat with his legs but one thing he can do is win games. I think he has a much better upside than Mike Vick.
October 10, 200719 yr Author Newsflash: Vince Young wins. IMO, it is more accurate to say that Vince Young doesn't lose, but I guess as a young QB, that is what is most important. We'll see how he turns out.
