Ludlow QB Jarrett Rouse Done For the Season

Was Dunn playing another position or has he always been the back up. I hate to hear this news about Rouse, he was truely putting up some great numbers and was showing sign of being a true leader of this team. How will this effect their offense, especially since they were passing so much

Actually I think Zack was the backup to Rouse. However IMO and I dont know for sure but I look for Dunn to end up getting most of the snaps at QB. I know they have been splitting time there this week during practice..

Im guessing look for ludlow to run the ball more now.

I really feel for the guy, we have had similar injuries at Mayfield. Our backup QB broke his arm in the first scrimmage of the season and last Friday our starting QB dislocated his shoulder, so he will be out for a while it looks like. We are on our third string QB at the moment, so I know what you are going thru.

Very very sad thing to hear. A kids worst nightmare is losing his senior year after giving so much to the program. Gotta feel for the kid no matter where you are from. Congratulations on a great football career and see ya in basketball season, hopefully not making too many 3's ;)

Nice post and I agree.

Keep your head up Jarrett and be proud of your accomplishments.

Its time for the rest of the Panthers to dig a little deeper and try a little harder. Jarrett's loss will hurt, but with team unity and hard work, all is possible.

Futurecoach...do you know if Ludlow will stick to their offense or do you think they'll switch it up some and run the ball more? How does Dunn and Steg. compare to Rouse? Any similarities?

Ludlow will struggle for some of the remainer of the season, simply becuase that offense revolved around Rouse. Good luck to the panthers later on down the road

Well Im sure they will still stick with the spread offense, but just run the ball more out of it than they had..Also both Dunn and Steg are very good athletes as well. Dunn is the starting safety, and I believe Steg plays alot of corner and may even start at corner. So they both are very good athletes. I mean they definitely have big shoes to fill, and really cant replace what Rouse was doing. However who ever does start should be able to still be productive for Ludlow...As I said before this could be a blessing in disguise for Ludlow atleast for next year, because instead of going into next year with an inexperienced QB, they will have a QB who will have about 6 to 7 varsity games under their belt. So it definitely will be a plus for next year Ludlow team...

I hate to see any player end his season with an injury.

Prayers go out to this young man and his family. I hope he has a full recovery.

Who is left on Ludlow's schedule. I know they still have Brossart, but who else? Is there any games where they can keep the spread offense and work on Dunn and Steg's form, knowledge of offense, reads, timing, etc. I would think that Beechwood isn't going to be this game. Once again, thoughts and prayers with Rouse on a speedy recovery and a sincere good luck to the two back-ups, just hang in there and do whatcha can.

Certainly an easy game against Brossart for the number 4 seed becomes interestingly closer. Prayers go out to Rouse for a full recovery.

I am sure that Jarrett will work hard at rehab and be ready for a great basketball season but I hate to see anyone lose their senior year in any sport. Best of luck with your recovery and good luck on the court this winter.

Although I still think Ludlow wins this game....this injury could make this game a little more interesting. This could make this game worth watching now. But I'll still make an early prediction

Ludlow 28
