Ludlow QB Jarrett Rouse Done For the Season

Featured Replies

I have been to two game's he has played and I was very impressed with his ability to throw the ball and scramble. I really hate to see this happen to a Senior football player. I hope he has a speedy recovery and gets back in time to play BB. JD

We will mention it on the show this weekend. Each week when I got stats, he usually had great numbers. It's a shame when something like this happens. Hopefully, it will be a quick rehab for basketball season!!

Who is left on Ludlow's schedule. I know they still have Brossart, but who else? Is there any games where they can keep the spread offense and work on Dunn and Steg's form, knowledge of offense, reads, timing, etc. I would think that Beechwood isn't going to be this game. Once again, thoughts and prayers with Rouse on a speedy recovery and a sincere good luck to the two back-ups, just hang in there and do whatcha can.

I believe they play Beechwood, Brossart, Lloyd, Scott, and maybe Grant Co...Not in that exact order though...

Sorry to hear about Rouse's injury. Sad way to end your hs sports career. I wish him all the best in his recovery...

That's a shame that he is out the rest of his senior year after putting so much dedication and time into football. Best of luck to Rouse and the Ludlow football program.

Ditto!

The QBs take a greater beating in the games than most folks realize. Best of luck to you young man... you certainly put some huge numbers up in just 4 weeks of competiton!

If the JV guys moves up...who fills in for him on the JV squad?

It would be this 8th grader, I cant think of his first name but his last name is Klier (sp.). He is a very good young player, and is going to do alot of GREAT things for the Varsity team maybe even starting next year...

Yes your correct, Jake Klier. He fast, and he should be pretty tall by his junior year, I knew his brother and he shot up real fast. Jake can throw and run, really fast, and he's not afraid to hit someone, but is afraid to get hit, but he'll get over that.

Watched him play and he threw a nice ball. Good luck with your recovery.

Sorry to hear that. Hope recovery goes well he can play basketball.

Must have been his throwing hand cuz that kid you know would have thrown a cast on the other one. Tough to hear and wish him the best. Good luck Jarrett.

I don't mean to throw a curve ball into this discussion but I have been told that he is in a cast, not had any surgery as of yet. The cast will stay on for a couple weeks and then re-evaluated to determine if surgery is necessary. However, the cast is above his elbow, this is why he can not play even though it is on his non-throwing arm.

futurecoach, can you shed any light on this???

Your pretty much right on the money on this, they decided to hold off on surgery, and decided to cast it above his elbow. In hoping that this will make it get better enough to where it wont require surgery...

That's impressive to have a freshman starting at any position especially the QB. Good luck to the young man:thumb:
