BK has zero ties to UM and has no shot at being the head coach. But you can dream I guess. When he does leave UC, they will be in a much better position than when he got here. In the end that's all you can ask for. At least he won't get fired for things like running a renegade program or poor performance.

Oh and about safety you might want to check the attitude at the door. The Miami campus was put on alert for the 5th time this month after several late night stabbings on campus. Real safe in Oxford. Or not. NEXT...

I think Dantonio left Kelly with some pretty good talent and a solid defense to boot.

Kelly is trying to change the culture at UC and has done some positive things. Dantonio only lacked charisma and a ticketselling style of offense.

UC is getting some mileage locally out of their win over OSU, which is a second tier team in the Pac 10 this year, but did a nice job selling that OSU was really legit.

Truth be told, the attendance for the OSU game had to be disappointing because of the hype and then only getting 25K into Nippert. The students not being in session doesn't fly because they rarely attended anyway.

Maybe if Kelly can build on some successes here he can go to the media with his opinion on such a rivalry game.

As HSB mentioned some of the things Kelly has done has left a burr in the saddle so to speak.

Popping off about media coverage was silly and now this...

Kelly is a politician at heart, based on his occupational history...he will whisper sweet nothings and will bolt long before many think he will.

I don't think he is even on the radar for the Michigan job.

Well at least Kelly has a personality unlike Dantonio.

Here's the deal..................if Kelly wants to play the BCS card then go for it and tell Miami that its either 3 for 1 or neutral or whatever. But be prepared to deal with the fallout from that. That might mean Miami off the schedule and ??? on the schedule.

So if Kelly thinks maybe he can get UK (SEC) on a home and home deal or Purdue (Big 10) or some other BCS school then I say go for it. But if they end up with EKU or UAB or Tulsa or Indiana St. don't go complaining.

If Miami is replaced it will be with a non BCS school in a more favorable deal for UC. The BCS team is covered for the foreseeable future...

What does that mean?

Does that mean if it is Indiana St replacing Miami all the games would be at Nippert?

Or does that mean they would try to replace Miami with a BCS school?

With games lined up (home and homes) with Va Tech, Ohio State, Oregon State and Oklahoma over the next several years I highly doubt you see another BCS opponent. If Miami is replaced it would be with an equal level non BCS school in a 2 for 1 or 3 for 1 deal...

If this was any other MAC school, Kelly would be 100% right (assuming they actually had a winning record against said team). However, its bush to come in and tell your oldest rival that you're too good to play them at their place. The UK/MAC reference is completely invalid. No history there.

As HSSRB said, UC needs to actually look like a BCS team for a while before it big times a school. Even then, it should never big time MU.

Re: playing at PBS: If only 1,000 kids show up at Nippert, how many are going to trek down to PBS?

Whose job will it be to filter Kelly?
