September 10, 200719 yr OK. Now that the Gators played someone (ok not really but I am trying to be constructive), thoughts on the upcoming game? Personally I think that both teams have issues on the defensive side of the ball, but overall, the Vols are more experienced in that area. That said, I think it becomes a shoot out with the Vols scraping out a victory 35-30. Tennessee has played two quality opponents while the Gators chose to play sub-standard teams and looked pretty poor against Troy. Could be the deciding factor. :fire:
September 11, 200719 yr This has the feelings of a very weird SEC season...I look for UT to win this game...and lose to Vandy or UK later...
September 11, 200719 yr Tennessee wins 28-24. The gators had to replace 9 defensive starters and I don't think Troy or WKU have the offense UT does, so there might be alot of inexperience on the Florida D.
September 11, 200719 yr I'm suprised at the UT predictions. As a UT fan, they love to come up short in games like this. It has been a while though since they won a big one, so I'll say UT 28 - UF 27
September 11, 200719 yr Author There are major questions about the Gators ability to stop the run. Very young on defense. The VOLS have a veteran O line and are two deep at every position (they rotated at every point on the line in the S. Miss game). With three quality backs (well 2 and 1/2 - Hardesty hasn't shown anything yet), I look for the VOLS (if they can get out to a lead) to control the line of scrimmage. Then , we'll see if Teboz can actually throw the ball, as he won't be able to eat up clock with running plays. :thumb:
September 11, 200719 yr Wow, color me shocked at the direction of this thread. This many people predicting UT to beat Florida in the Swamp? Unreal. I'll take the Gators by 7 - 10. Something in the 31 - 24 neighborhood.
