Should be a close one, SW has potential to win this one and would not surprise me if they did. Lincoln coming off big win last week should be full of confidence this week. I'll give a very very slight edge to Lincoln.

I picked the Patriots just because they're coming off of wins over Bardstown and Mercer and the Warriors only have a win vs. South Laurel to hang their hats on. I hope Southwestern comes out on top but I've got to pick the Pats 14-6.

Lincoln County has never beaten Southwestern. I remember the first game in the series in 1996. At the time, the game seemed like the biggest win in the short history of the school. I remember hearing the Southwestern coaches telling their players that they had just beaten the AAA finalist from a couple of years before.

 

In the series, the Warriors have never looked back. In fact, that first game was probably the only one in which Lincoln County was competitive.

I know Southwestern has a talented quarterback and they are well-coached. Lincoln County has a solid defense and is equally well-coached. The Patriots' defense just keeps coming at you and makes things happen. It should be a very entertaining ballgame and, for me, will be very difficult to predict a winner.

IMO Lincoln will win 28-21. SW will have a hard time blocking the big boys up front for the Patriots.

SW has some big boys up front too. One of the biggest lines we have had in a while.

Just b/c they are big don't mean they can handle them. Lincoln has a very good OL/DL. Without looking a rosters I would say they are comparable size wise, that being LC and SW, (except 71 for SW he is a big boy).

In a close one, Lincoln gets up by 14 but holds on to a 6 point margin 20-14.

Hope I'm wrong for the "Choppers" but the level of play Lincoln County started out with will pay dividends, especially after beating Mercer. High Confidence.

Both are well coached teams, Lincoln's D might be too much. Lincoln by 6.

Last week the Warriors looked 100% focused. It's district time Coach Anderson and Coach Girdler is going to have this Defense going all out to the ball. SW has given up to many points early on but I bet it does not happen this week. Hopefully the Warriors will continue to have the Patriots number. Go Warriors!!
