Clever.

I always was the sharpest knife in the BD51 Drawer. At least that is what mama said.

Which one?

Both :thumb:... Have a family member playing (HHS) and coaching (HHS) but I'll cheering the loudest for the one performing at half time :ylsuper:

Highlands will be fine. I know Coach Lickert was counting on catching Highlands on a short week with maybe some bang up players. But i'm sure Highlands isn't going to let someone sneak up on them this year like they did last year. I think Dale will have the boys ready. Stay focused boys!!!!!!

I'm sure that Coach Lickert isn't counting on "catching" Highlands in any state. He will prepare his kids to play a team that he knows has a great deal of talent, discipline and tradition. He seems to expect the best from his players each week and this is no different. They will come to play and I don't think anyone is counting on an easy break. Anything can happen on any given day! :thumb: Go HHS!

I wouldn't be counting your eggs before they are hatched DollarBill. When Highlands coaching staff scheduled Holmes last year I don't think they could have envisioned the coaching changes at Holmes. Coach Lickert took a team at Dayton that was 9 and 45 and transformed them into a 14 and 16 team in 3 years (I could be a little off on the wins and losses but they are close). The Holmes staff has a bunch of athletic kids to work with. If the staff can get their athletes heads on straight I think we all might be suprised. :D

No question Coach Lickert did a great job at Dayton and I wish him nothing but success with his new program at Holmes (except against Highlands) but your suggestion that his team that lost to Dayton (who I give credit to for having a great start to their year) will man up and have any reasonable chance against Highlands two weeks later seems a bit farfetched to me no disrespect intended to Holmes, Coach Lickert (or Dayton for that matter). Perhaps in a few years he can build the program up to have a sporting chance in this contest and that would be great for Holmes and the district competitiveness. Despite my comments above I agree you have to be careful not to look ahead past any opponent but I am confident the coaches and players will not do that this week and that the starters get most of the night off (most or all of the second half) and the Highlands JV gets an early start of preparation for their game the next morning against the Holmes JV.

Did you HAVE to bring that up....I was eating lunch!! (lol)

Sorry pal. Just wanted to make sure people remember that those who do not remember history, are doomed to repeat it. I don't think the Birds will come out flat or look past Holmes, but if they do, they'll be in a real battle.

I guess i was hearing things that day!!!!!!

Highlands names the score in this one. Several underclassmen will get plenty of playing time in this one. If their defense plays the way they did on Sunday night Holmes will have a hard time scoring.

The Birds will win, JV probably starts the 2nd half and they're hungry for some playing time.

Birds make a statement in this one we are the best in 5a look out Cov. Cath.

28-0 IN 1ST

42-0 IN 2ND

63-0 IN 3RD

70-7 IN THE END Birds JV puts most of the points on the board.

I've seen both teams play and it will be ugly. Even with the short week for Highlands they will win by 50+

Blue bird by as much as they want.

I voted for Holmes just to buck the trend .

Im taking Holmes in this one by 6
