Yeah I think they wake up every morning and wonder what can they say about UK today on the air.

I remember turning on ESPN and seeing Brad Daugherty reporting on tennis or NASCAR or bowling or something that he had no clue about - and no interest in. Good basketball player - very weak reporter.

Daugherty wore the #43 to honor the King, Richard Petty.

ESPN is a disgrace now. Last season they made a list of the 50 greatest players of all time in the NHL and left off Joe Sakic, who (for those of you don't know) is the leading active player in points, currently number 9 on the ALL-TIME list, yet he is not one of the 50 greatest..... makes sense to me.

Oh and my vote goes to Barry Melrose

But in his defense, he does have the best mullet on the network...

If he's an ESPN employee, Stephen A. Smith gets my vote

Don't care too much for Mel Kiper, either.

What happened to the good old days of Tom Mees, Bob Ley, etc., etc., etc. You know - guys who didn't try to be more important than the story.

Bob Ley still does Outside the Lines.

ESPN has totally revamped their programming package from that of 15 years ago. While some of the personalities may suck, I give them credit for pioneering the specialized shows such as Baseball Tonight, NFL Live, ESPN U programming, NBA Coast-to-Coast, etc.

Anytime we ask on BGP what sports you enjoy, most people list three or four. Conversely, the same people usually cite sports they cannot stand to watch on television. Sportscenter used to be devoted to more stats and highlights of games of the 4 major sports. It is a lot more broad than that now with coverage which includes X games, Fantasy Football, personnel decisions, to name a few. Those interested in Baseball may tune in for Baseball Tonight now without having to muddle through the "Booyahs of Stuart Scott" and "Fact or Fiction" segments of Sportscenter.

No doubt about it!

ESPN had became the "Arrogant Sportcasters Network"

As for the question, it probably would be a lot easier to list the good ones, I like all of the college game day crew with the exception of M. May. Corso and Herbstriet are great.

As for the worst of the worst:

S. Scott would have to top that list (most arrogant that I have seen, sicking to watch, I have to change the cannel when he is on)

Digger Phelps - (the ONLY thng that he knows about U.K. is that he couldn't beat them)

The espn - MNF crew is as pathetic as it gets.

L. Cohn is very bad (the female answer to S.Scott)

Mark May - terrible

Stephen A. Smith ( a legend in his own mind)

J. Rome - right there with S. Smith

T. Kornheiser desreves special mention as terrible with an extra helping of stupid on top.

"Jaws" is an arrogajnt jerk as well

Beano Cook is just happy to be here.

On the radio maybe, but on TV he's awful.

Thats how Rome is too. IMO.

Some of the people I can't stand from the worldwide leader:

Doug Gottlieb

Stuart Scott

Steven A Smith

Jim Rome

Dan LeBetard

Jay Mariotti

Skip Bayless

Mark May

Digger Phelps

Lou Holtz

Tony Kornheiser is just bad.

Granny Holtz is on his deathbed and has more wrinkles than an elephant.

Steven A Smith is a know it all rat.
