Doesn't Gallatin have a new transfer that has not been mentioned in the information above...maybe it was football but I could have sworn I saw a new name somewhere in a previous thread. ?

I think Brown is a very solid player for Gallatin..

I haven't heard anything about this but if you find out anything let me know!

Who like will be the best guard? Since Hester is gone and Daniel Neeley is gone, who's the best this year?

The kid from Oldham Co. Can't remember his name.

Is it Billy Payne?? He did not graduate until this year I believe.

Dunlap

Dunlap is probably the best guard out there. Correct! He has great footwork and one of the quickest first steps. I heard he's on the up and coming Northern Kentucky Shinning Star AAU team.

They might want to try and win (1) before they get into that walk!!

We have won one, oh sorry that was the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. This is our 3rd year in the region and we made the finals the first two years. I think we will be OK.:sssh:

You are obviously basing your "opinions" on seeing Gallatin play one time. If i use your criteria of assessment, that would mean that Mike Hester was the worst shooting guard in the 8th Region last year. After all ,he was 0 for ALOT from 3 point range in the region final game. I know that Mike is a better player and shooter than that one game. To assume that Edmonson carried Gallatin last year really shows incompetance on your part. I look for Gallatin to have a very good year again this year and i expect Simon to be very solid also. On December 21, Simon comes to Gallatin for what i expect to be a very good game. Come on down past the Mason/Dixon...I mean down past the Boone/Gallatin line and enjoy the fun if you can find your way there. We might even save a seat for you:D .

Hester sure did have good region semi-final though.:jump: How big is ole Gallitan co.'s gym?

Yes, he did have a good semi-final.

Gallatin's gym is very good size , big enough to host the 9th Region tournament:D . Very similar to Ryle's gym. It is currently one of the nicer gyms in the 8th.

Great gym and it has air conditioning!

Edmondson and Perkins carried Gallatin last year, period. From what I saw from Gallatin in the regional semi-finals against SK last year, they didn't have much talent besides Perkins and Edmondson.

Perkins and Edmondson did carry the team, but at the same time they had some above average players playing with them. Brown and Carlton I would have to say being the best two to compliment Perkins and Edmondson. Watching many of Gallatins games last year, Maddox did not really show any offensive skills besides cutting. He was probably one of the best ball cutters in the region. He mostly recieved his points off of lay-ups. Just in my opinion, Maddox was not a very good shooter. Jones was a good shooter as long as he was not being guarded. It seemed to me that as long as someone was near him, he was not a consistant shooter. Gallatin should be able to make noise this year, but in my opinion they will not be as good as last years team. Gallatin is not as deep as they were last year which helped them. While most teams were getting fatigued, gallatin could rotate nine in and out. They do not have that kind of rotation this year. Good luck to GC!

You are correct about their depth. Two years in a row they have gone 9 deep. That's does not happen very often at a small school. Their brutal schedule could also keep them from having a record like last year's.

Road games at Scott Co. (season opener), Oldham, Anderson, Shelby, and Ryle. Home games with Simon Kenton and North Oldham. And they are in the Lloyd Christmas Tournament which features Holmes and an array of other good teams.

However, the schedule and their experience will have them ready for tournament play in the All 'A' and March.

Gallatin's record might not look so "hot" because of their schedule, but I think they'll be alot better than what it will show. Mad. will pick up most of the scoring this year, Jones will have some nice solid games. Jones can handle the ball good and is quick with it.
