Highlands/Lou Male Scrimmage

If that guy is All American...then HHS has some ALL-WORLD players !! I'll vote him to the All AIRPORT team.

Wow, quick to disparage a kid after viewing him once.

However, Mueller can mouth off and claim he has 7 D-1 guys and the home town crew suddenly become silent.

BTW, Heyman has an offer from the hometown Cards. Think they might be able to judge talent?

The Birds are really going to put a show on this Friday night. Look for another high scoring game like last year' date=' but the Birds will be doing all the scoring!!! 64-6[/quote']

(Birds 34-6) Maybe , I was off a little off. But, I knew that the Birds had too much depth. And they are just to good in all phases of the game. Its going to take a heck of a ball team to beat them. Good luck! Both teams!!

First of all, let's not label the entire "hometown crew" based on one person's inapropriate comments.

Secondly, I didn't think the kid looked all that bad. He is big and looks strong.

Lastly, I don't think Mueller said any such thing. If he did, I didn't catch it.

Ryan Ernst had the quote on his blog a while back.

Oh, okay. Well, we're kind of used to him being a little hyper-positive. ;)

At least, this year, he was very restrained in judging his teams potential.

I'm with you BF. I don't know near as much about football as some other folks on here, but the kid didn't look as bad as some folks are making him out to be. On offense, he's out of position in my opinion. Would be a stud tight end, tackle or wide out (where he could use his size to get the ball and his speed to do something with it once he has it). He's not a running back, at least in Male's offense. Perhaps if he played tailback in an I based offense with a big blocking fullback in front of him, he'd really crank out the yards. But with no lead blocker, starting about 3 yds behind the line isn't taking advantage of his talents, again in my opinion. On defense, he played a decent game; not all world but not bad either. He did have some nice tackles and hits off of blitzes. I can see why UL would be interested in him; my guess UK would love to get him. Being fair to his critics, he was hyped on here by some Male folks to be the second coming that was going to run all over Highlands and when that didn't happen, its only to be expected that some folks would point that out in a critical manner.

Nothing negative about Dexter, when you talk about this youngman. He's about 6'4", 250, and runs 4.4 and IMO he was really physical. Good Luck!

A Highlands O lineman told me he was as tough as as anyone he has ever faced. Including the guys fron Colerain 2 years ago.

I still think that he said the "this was the best team ever" thing but regardless, does HHS normally have more than 7 D1 players on it's roster in a given year?:D

Dexter has amazing speed for that size of youngman. (Division I prospect, all the way)

I didn't think that any of this year's linemen played against Colerain? Maybe I'm wrong.

78 was a soph. He wasn't a starter but was worked in. I think about 6 sophs started that year.

I remember the starters on defense but forgot about Hempling.
