That'd be great. It would prove the new coach to be a better x and os guy than the previous coach. I was unaware there were no new recruits playing this upcoming season. thats kind of odd:D

Lexington has a good enough night-life. And really if you're a coach are you recruiting players for the night-life or to play basketball? Players get suspended for enjoying the night-life too much so that takes care of that theory. Ya know lots of people here live "kind-of" close to Lexington or even in Lexington and I'm sure some people probably liek teh night-life in Lex. It's one's opinion on the matter, and who are the players that supposedly said that the night-life wasn't good at UK? Carruth?

 

No names will be given, but I will tell you that one is in the NBA and was a McDonalds ALL-AMERICAN. Three others play in the NFL right now. Liked the school and facilities, but didn't like the city and lack of activities compared to other places.

I thought this thread was about UK reaching the Final Four in the next five years. What has night life in Lexington got to do with it? Who cares what NFL-NBA players say about the night life anywhere. I don't think players go to a school because of the night life if their serious about playing. It seems like this thread has turned into a PM chat. :confused:

If you consider the area, absolutely not. Definately not the Knoxville area.

What in the state of KY matches up to the Knoxville area? That area includes Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, etc..

 

Florida stays warm all year round and has plenty of coastline and bikini's.

Oh yeah 21 year old Bball players are all about going to Pigeon Forge. :lol:

Actually it was.

 

None of the places offer much. Lexington has horses. Gainseville has a couple of lakes on the outskirts of town (not on the coast). Knoxville has Dollywood nearby.

I was in Gatinburg in July and thought I saw Bruce Pearl and the team walking down the street going into the fudge shop.

I thought since the thread turned into things for players to do that I just as well join in.

I just don't see Lexington as a place for a teenage kid. Not really much to do for the ones who live there now besides getting into trouble.
