2007/2008 Elliott Co

Featured Replies

To be fair, Elliott's best player (a guard, can't remember the name) was playing with a sprained ankle. But I, too, was a little disappointed after seeing some posters hype them up so much.

They made it to Rupp - where was Paintsville?

Probably still celebrating the win over Elliott ... ;)
It's hard to be 6'"5 & 220 in the 8th grade ...... Can you name one ??

How about 6-8 and 6-9 8th graders. I saw a lot of them at the National AAU Tournament in Orlando this past week .

I see some 6-8 but not 6-8 & 220-245 .....

They might be listed as 8th grade , but age wise I doubt they are 14 or 15 maybe a 16 or 17 year old. I have seen those big guys at nationals also. But I don't take them for real.

I did not say that they needed a 6'5" 220 lbs 8th grader. I am just saying they need some one who isnt affraid to be physical inside that has some size to back it up. I wouldnt care if he is a senior. They can play physical but they do not have the big body( but they definitely do have the heart) that can play 30 minutes a game. I think that Timmy knipp is great the way he is. I am not saying he needs to change. His role on the team is not to be a big body and bang with the big boys.

Personally I think timmy can help out a lot inside, and did last season! He had lot's of rebounds and avgd about three block's a game off the bench. I will agree weight help's, but I knew a 6-6 player in high school avgd over 20and 10 board's a game. He weighed 165!!!! I also have seen legit age eighth graders that were 6-5, 200lb, and one legit eighth grader that was 6-11 and 300. Thats really all irrelevant because Elliott dont have one(6-5, 220) but they do fine with their 6-6, ??? eighth grader and the rest of their little short feller's!!!!:D

Elliott is hard to contend with due to the Faulkner's level of competitiveness. Ethan is the heart and soul of the team as he goes they go.

I think he gets alot of help by other players on the team. They all have heart and that makes up for there lack of Size.:thumb:

Elliott has always had players with some talent and ability but Ethan takes them to another level. He will make some college coach a happy camper.
