If something goes wrong and we can't fix I tell my husband to just call the man honey .

That one is one of my favorites. Andy kept telling Aunt Bee to "just call the man"

I know of a man at a church in our area that teaches his Sunday School lessons to the theme of a lot of te AGS episodes. All of them have good message to them and he just will relate it to bible stories/lessons and present it in that way.

Thanks, I do change quite often but besides The Andy Griffith Show this one reminded me of another man approximately 45 years ago that would take his young son fishing. ;)

Saw one last night where Barney tried to rehabilitate Otis.

Barney (holding ink blot): "What do you see there, Otis?"

Otis:"A bat".

Barney:"Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong!"

Otis riding the cow through town:"Giddyup, Old Paint!"

Just finished the one about "the Loaded Goat" again, only problem if you watch it too many times Barney says you might go ....................."Blooey!!"

"Three wishes for Opie" is coming on TV Land in 20 minutes. One of show's top five episodes IMO along with "The Pickle Story", "Barney's First Car", "Educating Ernest T.Bass" and "Opie the Birdman"

All of these are generally considered some of the top episodes. While"Opie the Birdman" has some nice moments, it has never been one of my favorites.

"Extree good"

I like the episode with Leon.

I also like the one were Andy has to umpire Opie's baseball game.

I enjoy "The Baseball Game"as well. I was watching it back last year and noticed a blooper in that episode. The game was in the first inning and a Mt. Pilot player flies out to the outfield. You can see a shot of the scoreboard and it shows 0-0 after two full innings of play, even though the game had yet to enter the bottom of the first.

"Educating Ernest T.Bass"

Who can forget Ernest T saying

  • "I want to say my SEN-tence"
  • "No hunt, beware, open and closed, no credit"
  • "Jelsik walk with me, Jelsik talk with me, Jelsik kiss my mouth"
  • "I don't chew my cabbage twice, and you ain't heard the last of Ernest T Bass"
  • "Who you calling a creachter?"
  • "Especially when I'm dancin'"
  • "You're my motherfigure"

What a character. LOL

The Kelso's Ocean line cracks me up every time.

We did a bible study on "The Andy Griffith Show" a few years ago. The first 20 minutes we watched a show and then study was based on whatever the moral for that story was. It was very interesting and a favorite bible study of mine.

1. Man in a hurry

2. The Christmas show with Ellie and Ben

3. Mr Darlin fillin his hat up at the water trough and telling Andy he'd give a horse the right of way if one come along.
