April 13, 200818 yr The Christmas show with Ben I cry every time I see it, and I know what happens in every scene. When Barney "runs his mouth" to the college reporter who is setting Andy up to get him fired, well that one gets me too.
April 13, 200818 yr Citizen's Arrest!!!! Citizen's Arrest!!!! I'll tell you about the Emancipation Proclomation. First you had a bunch of people who wanted to get emancipated. Well they got together and decided they needed a way to announce their emancipation. So they put together a proclamation of the emancipation and it was called the Emancipation Proclomation! LOVE THIS SHOW!!! Mine also. I'll admit that I haven't been around as long as some of you because I'm only 21 but this has to be my all time favorite television show. I'll agree with most of you I rather watch the black and white shows versus the colored ones.
November 15, 201213 yr This thread is ancient, but I was searching for a "Favorite Andy Griffith Show" episode thread & found this one. I do believe this is the greatest television show of all-time, and as others have said, I watch the Black & White episodes. Not only is it the best show, but as Billy Bob Thornton once said, Barney Fife is the greatest TV character of all-time IMO. Favorite episode ever? The Haunted House. What are some of your favorites?

November 15, 201213 yr I like the episode that Opie kills a mother bird and has to take care of the babies. Barney tells Opie that he can communicate with them. "Gee I'm feeling good", Gee I'm feelin bad".
