July 17, 200719 yr So Urban Meyer and Steve Spurrier are now outdated? I am a Louisville fan, in all sports, but come on. Throw in Nick Saban now... all the athletes the LSU always has... UT and UGA have been a little down as of the last year or so but they are powerhouse programs.. Arkansas had a fun offense last year with a legit Heisman candidate but no QB... there is great ball played on both sides.
July 17, 200719 yr I also feel that their offenses are outdated, and average at best. Last year LSU and Florida both scored 41 points in their BCS bowl games, in route to having the 2 largest point differentials in BCS games. How bad exactly are their offenses?
July 17, 200719 yr Seriously, when you saw the thread title and the thread starter...did you have to wonder the slant that was coming?
July 17, 200719 yr We're trying but it takes two to tango.     Imo there is not one team anywhere is the SEC that would back down from playing Louisvillle if it could be worked out . U.L. playing SEC teams had better stick to U.K./, maybe try Vandy or Miss. St. / Ole Miss. - anyone else in the conference and you are in some serious trouble. I don't blame you for building yourselves up though , no one else is going to........ and with good reason.

You Kentucky fans kill me. Your favorite program is traditionally abysmal so I guess to make yourselves feel better you refuse to acknowlege that Louisville has been able to do what Kentucky hasn't, build a winning program. And Louisville did it with a much smaller budget and lesser facilities. Kentucky had a decent year last year, buying their way into a bowl game playing any directional school they could. Maybe, just maybe you should wait and see if Kentucky can sustain their "success" before predicting the demise of a program that has had more winning seasons this decade then Kentucky has had in the last 30 years.

July 17, 200719 yr MSU... probably the worst team in the SEC. WVU ran for 318 against UL. :thumb:

UL joined a whole freakin' directional conference.:sssh:
July 17, 200719 yr Louisville joined a BCS conference. Other then Louisville, Kentucky played no one OOC from a BCS conference.

UK fans kill you?? was talking the SEC as a whole and not just one or two teams, and I did mention Vandy earlier as one that you should also pick to play, sorry I was not in charge of their athletics so I did not opt out. By the way, My favorite besides U.K. are Ohio State and Alabama and Georgia...........you definately don't want to go there, now or back in history. 2. U.K. buying their way into a bowl game?? Playing in the SEC that is laughable, they did what they needed to do in scheduling for a year to help offset the mighty SEC games that they had to play. With the schedules/conferences that your guys have played through the years I wouldn't go there if I were you either. 3. Maybe just maybe you should win a few more conference title and National Championships before you go to claiming national powerhouse. On the national scale of things you have done absolutely Nothing! 4. UL has had some sucsess in recent years. No one had said that they haven't. 5. You talk about U.K. fans, get over yourself AT, UL fans (most of them) are the most arrogant anywhere and over basically nothing on a large scale of things. 6. Seems to me that for someone to be so far above U.K. and their fans that you and others are awfully interested in what they have to say :sssh:  . Like I said, I am also a big Ohio State Football fan and also will pull for Bama and Georgia, do you want to go to comparing those teams history with UL's............I didn't think so . At no time did I ever say that U.K. football was better than U.L's program in the last few years. And Finally = I have wasted too much time already on this so I will leave it for now - definately not woth ANY more of my time.

I team anyone in the country would argue is BETTER then the Demon Deacons the Cards played in the ORANGE BOWL, beat a worthy opponent in a bowl game then come talk to me. Oh and I know you are going to say "I can't help who they made us play". Weak arguement, anyone else in the bowl games would have gave you all a HARD game and most likely an L. Face Reality UofL fans, you can try to downgrade the SEC all you want, but everyone in the nation besides you all know that there the strongest conference in the nation year in and year out, and UK just happens to be able to compete with the best of them this year...Are you all a little nervous that there could be a sweep this year, is that why all the bashing:confused:
July 17, 200719 yr Louisville joined a BCS conference. Other then Louisville, Kentucky played no one OOC from a BCS conference. HAHA go look up how many SEC teams do before playing the conference games, then come talk to me....
July 17, 200719 yr You Kentucky fans kill me. Your favorite program is traditionally abysmal so I guess to make yourselves feel better you refuse to acknowlege that Louisville has been able to do what Kentucky hasn't, Since you are wanting to talk history and records I decided to look something up before I quit.... lets just go head to head: U.K. and U.L. have played 18 times through history. U.K. - 10 wins Lil' brother - 8 wins (just having some fun with the lil' Brother comment ) If U.K. is "abysmal" (again your words) then what does that make U.L.?? In all fairness U.L. has won 3 in a row and 6 of the last 7 but since you mentioned "traditionally" I thought that I would check the "entire" series (since that is what tradition means) of the head to head meetings. You are catching up but not there yet.
July 17, 200719 yr And I'm a hater? You played a team that had lost 3 of their last 4 going into their bowl and were ranked 24 (vs. 14 for Wake, and winners of 5 of their last 6) in the BCS standing. Funny but I don't see how anyone in the country (other then a UK fan) would say that at that point Clemson was more respected nationally. And before you throw head to head at me let me remind you that there are many among the Kentucky faithful that will argue that head to head doesn't matter regarding Louisville because (in their opinion anyway) Kentucky was better at the end of the season. The same holds true here. And I for one could really care less about the SEC, I don't measure Louisville's success by how teams in their conference do (although West Virginia beating Georgia in the Sugar Bowl was OK). And no, I'm not nervous about a possible sweep. I think Kentucky COULD win, I just don't think they will.

A team with less resources and a smaller fan base that has recently started enjoying consistant success on the football field, including completely dominating the modern series with their in-state rival.
