UKPat02
I was the victim of a home invasion. I was at my girlfriend's house at about 1:30am when we heard two loud thumps. On the third thump, I knew something was wrong. Two men had kicked in the front door and were coming through the house. My girlfriend has two male roommates, both of which were home at the time, as well, both in their rooms. The two intruders came upstairs and began kicking in the door of a roommate. By this point, I had barricaded my girlfriend's door and had her on the phone calling 911. I could hear yelling outside the door about how someone had "raped my girl". Meanwhile, the other roommate comes out of his room wielding a 9mm and pointing it at the intruders threatening to shoot. They both ran. The police showed up shortly thereafter with the K-9 unit. Unfortunately they were unable to trace the thugs. We thought all was over, but then the roommate whose door was being kicked in received voicemail saying that "...we'll be back with more people and bigger guns." The roommate, of course, didn't rape anyone, but had had a girl over the the apartment a few days earlier that was apparently involved with one of the intruders. My girlfriend stayed at my house last night and probably will again tonight. She isn't sure when it will be safe to go back. She's understandably shaken up, as am I. Please pray for us! Watusi
Use your heads, don't let her go back there, period. Time for her to move and find new roommates. You're all in my prayers. Keep us posted on this story.
UKPat02
It didn't exactly happen as they say it did, but here's a link- http://www.wkyt.com/home/headlines/8526777.html
kygirl
Sorry to hear this....hopefully they will capture these thugs. I can't even imagine that kind of fear. Thank God you were there. Prayers of safety for you and your girlfriend.

Prayers of safety for you and your girlfriend. I'm glad I was there, too. My girlfriend told me that if I wasn't there, her first instinct would have been to open the door to see what was going on!

UKPat02
I agree with Watusi. Prayers to you. Question: Did the roommate have all the necessary paperwork for his gun? Thanks. I have no idea. Neither of us knew he owned a gun until he pulled it out.
spe690
Thanks. I have no idea. Neither of us knew he owned a gun until he pulled it out. Probably a good thing that he did! Something similar to this happened a few years back with a couple of my buddies and they ended up in the ER!
Watusi
ON the bright side, judging from what you have told us, it shouldn't be too hard for the cops to track down the guys. They weren't very smart about it.
cammando
Good thing that one of the roommates had the sense to own a gun...

Run To State
I'm with Toots on both posts, don't let her go back there and I do agree that the police shouldn't have too much trouble finding out who they were. Be glad the roommate had a gun, he could have just saved everyones lives. I'm glad you're OK.
TheDeuce
I have a question...If the room mate had his papers for the gun, couldn't he have shot them since they busted in the house?
Original Rookie
Thanks. I have no idea. Neither of us knew he owned a gun until he pulled it out. I would be moving out if my roommate had a gun I didn't know about.
