Agreed. However, incidents such as these NEVER get counted into statistical analyses used by the anti-gun crowd to malign law-abiding gun owners. In other words, we never see a "How many lives guns saved this year" stat to counter the usual published stats.

WKYT just reported on an incident that sounded as if it was the same one we are discussing. They reported that an arrest has been made.

Probably a good idea that I wasn't the one with the gun and being assaulted or threatened with assault by two people. I would have likely pulled the trigger and not just scared them off.

That story is wrong. The guys did not have the wrong address. They came after one of the guys in the house and even had his cell phone number.

We stood there and told them last night. My girlfriend was not the one who "came down to investigate". By all accounts, all wrong. When the gun was pulled, the guys fell to the ground, then got up and ran - but it's being reported that they were "ordered to their knees".

I really wish it was just the wrong address. We were all a little shook up but fine until we received that phone call threatening "more people and guns" on their return trip.
