Day off yesterday, do guys really need a break?

Maybe he has post nasal drip. He took some time off earlier this years for something like that:D

With two lefties going I would expect Dunn to get game 1 off and Griffey to get game 2 off. Just guessing.

Didn't they sit Griffey the night before?

So you find it odd that they wouldn't ask a 37 year old veteran, with a recent history of breaking down, to play two games in 90 degree heat? Makes perfect sense to me.

No I don't find it odd at all. I just thought they did, but didn't know for sure.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, I think he had a day off recently, although I'm not sure (off the top of my head) it was Sunday.

# Pete was also pretty interesting today on his future:

"I’d like to think I have a good shot, under the circumstances. If you’re going to judge on wins and loses, I’d certainly have to be considered."

"All interims aren't the same. Look at the way I do things and don’t look at me because interims haven’t worked out in the past. First-time managers haven’t worked out in the past. Established managers haven’t worked out everywhere they’ve gone. Don’t build a case on that."

"Judge me on who I am and how I’m doing, and how’s the team reacting, don’t judge me because I’m an interim manager and so was the other guy and that didn’t work out. When you hire a manager for any team, I don’t know if you categorize guys as having managed five years or 10 years or interim or one year or never managed."

CTR talking to him a little bit ago...

CTR's blog has been a lifeline for me this season. I will be sad when he goes.

Is that written in stone?

I hope not.

Is that written in stone?

The Post closing is. What are you hinting at??? ;)
