I am a Kentucky Colonel due to the line of work I am in and my job performance in that work

 

My father was a Colonel for starting two Boys and Girls Clubs, and starting two volunteer fire departments.

 

My mother was a Colonel due to her published poetry about Kentucky.

 

My brother is a Colonel due to his work with the Shriners in assisting underprivileged children.

Kentucky colonel is an honorary title bestowed upon individuals by approval of the governor of Kentucky. It requires no duties, and carries with it no pay or other compensation other than membership in the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

The article says you have to be 18 to be considered. Maybe it meant 1.8 based on what people have posted in this thread. Interestingly enough, Joan Crawford and Sammy Haggar are Colonels.
