July 15, 200719 yr No one's blaming UL for who they were forced to play. I'm sure they would've loved to have played LSU, Florida, USC, etc. Do you think Wake was the worst BCS team? No I hate to say it but my Irish had no business being there, Wake was definately second worst though. But that is because the ACC is the worst BCS conference.

IMO, Notre Dame was better than Wake. I don't have a lot to base it on other than their two common opponets. Wake beat Georgia Tech 9-6 and Notre Dame won 14-10, which is a wash, but Wake only beat North Carolina 24-17 while Notre Dame beat them 45-26. At any rate I think the Irish were better, but Wake is the only BCS team for which I can make that arguement.
July 15, 200719 yr Wake, BSU, OU and ND were a toss up last year. I think that any one of them could easily have beaten each other on any given day but they all would have definitely lost to any other of last years BCS teams.

My bad if I think the #1 and #2 offenses in the country the past two years still wouldn't produce VERY solid numbers in the SEC...

While I agree stats can be skewed, I still think UL would have a potent offense, even in the SEC. And by that theory, couldn't you say the defenses in the SEC weren't really all that good because the offenses are average at best?

Overall it's simply a different level than the Big East on both sides of the ball. Throw UL in the SEC and no doubt they have one of the best offenses in the conference but I would bet they wouldn't put up near the numbers that they do in the Big East. LSU and Florida struggled often offensively in the SEC but certainly didn't in their bowl games.

UofL put up... 24 against WF??? You're right. The SEC just can't put points on the board. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Just for comparison's sake, Florida averaged 24 points in SEC games, and LSU averaged 27.5. UofL averaged 35.28 in CUSA, I mean the Big East.
