June 7, 200719 yr Everyone had to of known it was going to happen. You honestly think they were going to let her serve the full time in jail...please... Just another reason to show why stars are given more power than anyone else.
June 7, 200719 yr There was absolutely no reason for her to serve her time in jail. This was not her power being exerted. Jails are overcrowded. This is what they would do to almost anyone in her situation, non violent offender and they need the bed space.
June 7, 200719 yr ^ You can say that with as many problems as she's had and the latest DUI that if an average joe got that they wouldn't be in jail right now?

If they were in Hamilton County (Cincinnati), I can flat out guarantee you she would not be in jail, there's no room for non-violent offenders to take up space for that long.
June 7, 200719 yr And going off the fact that it's LA, I would say they have more of an overcrowding problem than we do here. Researching this a bit it's no suprise, this is a quote from the LA Times. But Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said Hilton's sentence could be cut nearly in half by a state law allowing for credit for time served for good behavior. In addition, he said, overcrowding in the jail system could further reduce the time she spends in custody. "We look at Ms. Hilton as we would any other low-level offending female inmate," Whitmore said. "There are … issues that will come into play here, including her criminal history, the nature of the offense and the population of the facility."
June 7, 200719 yr She released because of a medical condition, not overcrowding, which makes this whole thing sound fishy.
June 7, 200719 yr I just can't understand anyone who hears about this and gets OUTRAGED or SHOCKED. The way it works out there, always has, always will. It's not fair, not right, but that's just the way it is.
June 7, 200719 yr She released because of a medical condition, not overcrowding, which makes this whole thing sound fishy.Well, in that case, nevermind. Shouldn't be fishy though, she's crazy.

This is what they would do to almost anyone in her situation, non violent offender and they need the bed space. That's fine in theory. However, I'd be curious to know what offenses those that were left behind by Paris had committed.
June 7, 200719 yr So she can stay home for the next 40 days, and party like it's 1999. Drink up you Fish! Maybe she can make some more home movies, and help pay her legal fees.

June 7, 200719 yr http://www.wlwt.com/entertainment/13459235/detail.html Joy Behar joked that the cavity search was "the only part" Hilton "was looking forward to." Now that's funny Richard Hutton reporters that Hilton used "this time to reflect on her life, to see what she can do to make the world better." Wow, all of 3 days and now she wants to change he world Hutton was critical of Hilton's isolation, saying, "She is really being punished because of her celebrity." Hutton said despite believing she received an unfair punishment, Hilton is taking responsibility by serving her time You've got to be kidding me.
