June 5, 200719 yr I'll tell you, I have a special appreciation for thunderstorms. I've told this before that I grew up in California. Coastal storms got swept into the northern jet stream and storms from the east got stopped by the Sierra Nevada range. There were almost NEVER any thunderstorms. When one would happen it was a light show and the whole neighborhood would bring chairs into the street to watch them come in. Now, I get to see regular, awe-inspiring thundercaps with warm rain and beautiful cloud formation. I love them, absolutely love them.

It's probably the single biggest reason why I hate to dress up. Standing around sweating and ruining expensive clothing in the process ain't no fun. Neither is stepping out of the shower and having to dry off two and three times.

Golfing, spending time on a lake or a beach, working on my tan, longer daylight hours, jet skiing, outdoor plays & concerts, baseball games, homemade ice cream, ice cold watermelon, fresh vegetables, farmers markets, the smell after a slow gentle rain, spending time with friends & family, picnics, early mornings when the sun is coming up...yes, I LOVE SUMMER!:ylsuper:

True story: I took a Business Communications class during one summer when I was in college. The professor had an assignment that each student (all 12 of us), had to give an oral presentation on ANY topic of our choosing. I decided that I would give a presentation on the proper assembly and subsequent operation of a "Beer Bong". I arrived at class the next week with my "presentation" materials consisting of a funnel, clamp, hose and a 12 pack of Old Milwaukee. I started the presentation by giving a little background information on beer bongs, then proceeded to assemble the actual bong. Finally, I wrapped up my presentation by illustrating the proper operation of the bong (aka drinking beer in class for college credit). I then solicited volunteers to come forward to verify the proper operation of the bong. Oh my, how they scurried forward that warm summer day. And to top it all off, after class I had a beer with the professor, who absolutely loved the presentation (she said it was one of the most original ones she had ever seen), and ended up getting an A+
