Wasn't as flashy or a showman but was a better and complete basketball player. And Magic, to me, was as good as Jordan. Jordan is considered the best ever....That's just a fact. Magic was good, but not near what Jordan was.

June 3, 200719 yr Duncan hasn't beat lots of greats.....WOW!!!!!! The Laker teams he roled through were real good. He didn't beat Jordan, but he beat Shaq quite a bit. The "He didn't beat Jordan" arguement doesn't make sense. Karl Malone never won it period. He didn't win it while other greats of that era did. Not all of them but quite a few. Malone was playing when Hakeem won it. He was playing when Duncan won it.

Saying that MJ did not have to beat Russell is not pertinent to the point. Using the argument that TD has titles and Karl Malone is completely irrelevant to the debate of which was the best 4 man. If you think it IS important, THEN you have to say look at the competition for the title that each faced. Again, its completely moot to me since titles have zero to do with the debate.

Not many teams have played a dominant team like the Bulls and when they did, they lost. Duncan didn't beat a Jordan team, but he beat a Malone team, a Shaq and Kobe team, and a Ewing team. Duncan should be considered at least for the top player in the past 10 years.

And Wilt was on the great Lakers teams towards the end of his career. As for Magic, him and Bird were outstanding. But they just arent as good as Jordan.

Interesting that Lew's/Kareem's ONLY NBA titles came when he had one of the top 3 guards off all time on his team. And yet, he was doing the carrying? As for Duncan's team not facing a dominant team like the Bulls, where the teams that the Bulls beat any better than the teams that the Spurs have beaten for the title?

And yet, he was doing the carrying? As for Duncan's team not facing a dominant team like the Bulls, where the teams that the Bulls beat any better than the teams that the Spurs have beaten for the title? Those Portland teams perhaps.
