This whole ordeal is a two horse race between the Cats and Gators and I wish it would just come to an end.....

One way or the other, we'll know in 9 days or less. Last day of the signing period is the 16th. But as I said in another thread, at this point it wouldn't surprise me if they decided that they were going to go play in Europe. Heck, at this point it wouldn't surprise me if they decided they would make up their mind in a few months and just walk on at the school of their choice.

They don't have to decide by the 16th.....They have until then to sign a LOI, but don't have to do that.

No kidding AI.....I would love to see schools sign others and run out of scholarships

:thumb: NOW THAT is what I would love to see. Keep putting everybody off and having to end up somewhere you did not want to be just because you were in love with all the attention. Priceless!!!!

You don't have to sign a LOI to accept a scholly? Did not know that.

I'm surprised (no, I guess I'm not) at the fans who are actually wishing these two kids ill will because they are delaying making the most important decision of their lives. And it is their decision to make, and their future at stake.

I am not sure of how exactly it works, but I do not believe you ever have to sign a LOI, if you do not want to. It was set in place to keep schools from recruiting you until you enroll in a school. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

While I wish no ill will on either, the one comment that I read somewhere that bothered me was their "enjoyment" of all the attention that they were receiving. Sounds like some big egos there as it implied they were liking the dragging out of the process so they keep getting the attention.

Patterson has expressed his wishes to be the last senior on his team to declare. So it's not just that he's trying to make the decision, he may well already know (and I believe he does). Patrick didn't say "I need more time", he said "I want to be last."

As for Lucas, well, I guess that's just frustration and I/we shouldn't necessarily wish him ill.

I just don't see the big deal. What is wrong with them enjoying the process? This is the only time in their lives they will be in this kind of spotlight, a position only a very small fraction of people ever find themselves in. Why not enjoy it?

I agree. This is there reward for the hard work and hours they've spent, lifting weights, running sprints, shooting free throws. God Bless Them!! :thumb:

I believe this is correct and the reason for the LOI. You can also only sign one LOI. In cases like Legion, he signed an LOI for Michigan, then getting out of it, he was not allowed to sign another. He actually signed a scholarship agreement with UK.
