April 28, 200719 yr Ireland. Flew into Shannon. Stayed first night at Dromoland Castle. Then drove to Galway, by way of a musical town called Doolin. Drove the Connemara. Sailed out and spent one night on the Aran Islands. Drove south to Cork, all the while drinking a cider called Bulmer's we didn't know was alcoholic. Kissed the Blarney Stone. Went to a town on southern coast called Kinsale, hands down the greatest place I have ever been. Drove the Ring of Barra, got lost, got car stuck in a mudhole, had two Irish farmers named Paddy and Declan pull us out, frantic they were going to miss the Cork County Cup finals. Stayed in Kenmare. Drove the Ring of Kerry. Ate dinner with a baker from Croom and his wife, who paid the $300 (lot of drink) dinner tab for us. Never even once went to Dublin, because the rest of the country is better. It'll be 10 years on 11/1, and I'm taking her back.
April 28, 200719 yr Jamaica Couples Resorts all inclusive, got married there on the beach and spent 6 nights there and it was awesome. I highly recommend it for either a honeymoon or just an Adult getaway...NO KIDS on this one and Hedonism is a couple doors down. : )

April 28, 200719 yr Less than two months from now I will be getting married and our honeymoon is set. If anyone remembers, I started a thread a few weeks ago looking for some information regarding Nova Scotia or Newfoundlad. I thought it would be something different and outside the box, so to speak. So, after consulting with a travel agent and reviewing everything, it came down to Nova Scotia and El Dorado Royale (a 21 and up resort on the Riveria Maya in Mexico). In deciding on a destination: I wanted Nova Scotia. She wanted the place in Mexico. For everyone out there that is married or in a deeply committed relationship, who do you think won this battle??? April 29, 200719 yr We went to Cape Cod 33 years ago this July . Stayed at an out of the way motel called the SkaKet Beach .While we were there we went to Martha's Vinyard where they were filming a movie about shark attacks .JAWS . We got to see some of the filming of crowd scenes on the beach where the people run out of the water when Bruce was attacking.
