The New York Yankees

Featured Replies

:dancingpa I'm happy to report that the mighty Yankees have been swept in consecutive series - by my Red Sox and now by the Devil Rays. I'd say some major changes are on the horizon in the Bronx!

My prediction that the evil empire will miss the playoffs is looking really good so far.

I hope they dont make it but the yanks get off to a bad start every year but recover unfortunly.

If the Twins, Tigers and White Sox all stay somewhat healthy, you got to figure the wild card would come out of the Central. Yankees would have to win the East and that doesn't look very likely right now with their pitching.

Isn't it ironic that when A-Rod is doing poorly the Yanks are winning and now that he has turned into a freak in the batters box the yanks have been swept in consecutive series..HAHAHAHA

I HATE the Yankees. I love it when they lose. They are one of the reasons I'm not much of a baseball fan anymore.

Which # will be higher? A-Rod's HR total or Yankee L's? It could get interesting.

They do this every year, and every year they end up making it. My prediction for this year is that they get Roger Clemens to come back to them, and they get someone at the trade deadline, and then they end up winning the division again by a game over the Red Sox...

One man's prediction; another man's nightmare...

Major changes.... you mean they try to get some pitching? I love how the Yankees just try and open the check book to fix their problems. INSTEAD of taking a Brewer/Marlin approach and actually develop some talent in their farm system.

The Yankees will be fine. This happened the same time last year and they are developing pitching in their farm system, Hughes starts tomorrow night for New York. Mussina is on the way back and they are players in the Clemens situation so it is a little early to count them out.

Actually this helps the Yankees. These teams along w/ the Indians will probably beat each other up. It's much easier to play the Blue Jays, O's and Rays 18 times.
