Within limits,yes.. I believe that people on chemotherapy who have become refractive to the conventional anti nausea compounds (Phenergan,Zofran,Compazine...etc),should be allowed it's use without fear of breaking the law...a few years back, one company actually was allowed to produce an oral product,Dronabinol, but I'm not sure how effective it was or if it is still made..I have had people tell me that smoking it has the best effect...It's use in some forms of Glaucoma have also been studied. IMHO,if someone who is terminally ill gets an extension on normal day to day living my using it,they should be allowed to!!

Sure. Why not? Legalize it and tax it. That way the police can concentrate on more serious crimes than owning an ounce of mary jane.

My thoughts exactly...give the tobacco farmers some relief. Plus the various by products have uses in things such as production of cloth and paper (which would reduce the need for lumber). Tax it and you get a double shot of tax income increase through increased tax revenue and decreased cost of drug enforcement and the encarceration of non-violent drug offenses.

I don't smoke it but statiscally speaking beer and whiskey kills alot more people a year then weed.

They should have never outlawed it in the first place.

I think they should for the reasons listed above, plus so that it can be regulated by the government and be a much safer situation.

They should run the restrictions like a combination of tobacco and alcohol. No driving under the influence, 18 and over to purchase, etc.

I'm at the point where I don't really care either way. I wouldn't throw my full weight behind legalizing it, but I don't see the point of it being illegal either, what does it hurt? Manufactured drugs are a much bigger problem here. Additionally, (a) look how much marijuana gets here illegally, and (b) look at the source. It is grown in Latin America, often times farmers are forced to grow it by the gangs/thugs/governments that profit from its sell, and it is illegally transported here by these same people. The use of it funds this kind of thuggery. If it were legal here, it could at least be grown here, severely hindering those illegitimates who have profited off of it in the past. Food for thought I guess.

Never understood the mindset of we should make this legal because it only makes criminals out of the persons who are growing it and provides the criminals with a way of life.

That mindset, we just should make everything legal and regulate it. There should be nothing illegal.

That is a huge oversimplification. I'm not saying it is making criminals out of the people who want to smoke. They shouldn't do it because it's illegal. But you can't deny the amount of money and legitimacy it provides to, what some would call, terrorist.

I wouldn't be against it, but if that stuff was legal, a lot more people would be like zombies. I couldn't imagine being able to get high everyday, anywhere, anytime. Wouldn't want to do it, just doesn't sound like a good plan to me.

Two things...

1 - I can't stand weed for me....it never ever did anything for me...

2 - it absolutely should be legal.

You must have gotten it in the wrong part of Ky.....:D ...I kid, I kid.

(but really.)
