April 17, 200719 yr Yeah. Cho Seung-hui, a 23-year-old English major from South Korea. A resident alien. They said that when the name was released someone actually released it the wrong way. They listed his first name last and vice versa.
April 17, 200719 yr I found a group on Facebook this morning, remembering those taken from us at VTech yesterday....There are already almost 98,000 people in the group. There are more than just one group on there. I typed in Virginia Tech and hundreads of groups across our nation and even Canada popped up.

April 17, 200719 yr Author It says there were red flags thrown up from his creative writing and he was actually referred to counselling because his writing was so disturbing.
April 17, 200719 yr Comparing the city of Cincy to a college campus is like apples and oranges. They're two totally different things. This is a college campus, I can understand completely if classes are cancelled after a SHOOTING, whether it is domestic or not. Im not accusing anyone on VaTech's staff of doing anything wrong or making any wrong decisions, but I would not think that closing the campus after a shooting would be unreasonable. Quote from the Vtech President in the article... "The second shooting, no one predicted that was also going to happen that morning," Steger said. "So if you're talking about locking it down, what is it you're going to lock down? It's like closing a city. It doesn't happen simultaneously." http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=3048108&page=2
April 17, 200719 yr Killer's Note: 'You Caused Me to Do This' I want to hear what he was blaming, what pushed him over, or who he was gunning for?
April 17, 200719 yr Reports of some colleges and High Schools being evacuated and placed on lock-down today because of threats. So far nothing has happened. I assume the press will be accusing these schools of over-reacting!!!!!:madman:

I assume the press will be accusing these schools of over-reacting!!!!!:madman:  Unfortunately this fits the pattern, they were talking about this last night, that there will be threats at other places because of this as well as possible copycats. Plus, with 4/20 coming up, it's not going to be an easy week for those at a lot of schools. I say that if anyone is caught making threats, they have the book thrown at them, with no chance of an early release.

April 17, 200719 yr I want to hear what he was blaming, what pushed him over, or who he was gunning for? There were actually students among the dead in which the shooter attended high school with (shooter was a senior when deceased were freshman). It is thought to be just by coincedence, not intentional though that there is this connection.....
April 17, 200719 yr I think a very interesting point that I have not heard about yet, is whether the shooter had a roommate or not. I would venture to say 95% of students living in dorms (other than RA's) are required to have a roommate. This could be a crucial source of information since the shooter seemed to be a loner, if applicable.

Several students in that dorm pay an extra premium and live alone, assuming there are no other students being displaced by lack of dorm rooms. For what it's worth, Harper Hall is on the outside perimeter of the campus, a 20+ minute walk away from Norris Hall.
