April 16, 200719 yr CNN is inteviewing the student who videotaped on his cell phone and he shows the problem of closing the campus. He said he was told to leave the campus and not go on campus. So what did he do? He went on and then thought it would be even better to stay and videotape. He also just said that when he heard the shooting begin he was trying to GET CLOSER to the shooting to get better view to tape.
April 16, 200719 yr You want to hear something sad and alarming. Guy on CNN is making the point that these shootings come in a cluster with copycat shootings. That is reasonable to think that once one has happened, we may see more in the coming weeks. And with 4/20 coming up the end of the week.

Bothers me too, as I think of all the teenagers and adults who have lost their lives in such shootings. And makes me extremely nervous on what are the students in my building thinking. Are they having thoughts like the other shooters? Extremely nervous.
April 16, 200719 yr How will they go about identifying the shooter. They said he took his life, so you can make a safe assumption that the face may not be in the best of shape. They said he had no identification on him. How long and how will they go about identifying the shooter? Possibly with dental records, fingerprints (if he has any past criminal history). And other various ways.

While I feel horrible for the victims, their friends and families, I also can't help but wonder what type of scrutiny the shooters family will be under(if he had any in the country). They may have been great parents, great brothers and great sisters or they may have been worthless to society. No matter what type of people they are they will always be tied to this.

Reminds me of the great Christian faith that the Amish showed when they went to minister to the family of the shooter at the same time that they were mourning for the loss of their children.
April 16, 200719 yr MSNBC said a boyfriend/girlfriend was in a fight at the dorm. An RA intervened and the boyfriend shot the girl and the RA and then left.
