Yet he doesn't mind chiming in with comparisons of the two.
He may not be a Kentucky fan, but that doesn't make him a Cardinal fan. Like RP in basketball.

The coaching chaos continues...

What a crazy offseason so far.

Not a bad trade-off there??

Like I said he is a good recruiter........Enough said.

Well Brady coached LSU to a win over Gillispie in the NCAA last year when Billy elected not to foul with seconds left and only a three could beat his team. Sound familiar? Tubby got roasted on this board for the same crime in the State game. Then this year Brady coached his way to another victory over Gillispie during one of LSU's worst years while A&M was having one of their best years ever. Is that all recruiting?

FYI, Brady coached LSU to a victory over recruiting wizard Billy Donovan earlier this year as well.

Awful hire if it happens. He can recruit... and that's about it.

See post #21.

Of course that win came when LSU was 5-1 and still nationally ranked. Before the coaching genius that is John Brady totally lost control of his team, a team that returned 3 starters plus Tack Minor (the starting point guard at the beginning of the 05-06 season before injury) from a Final Four team. With what he had returning he managed to avoid a losing season at 17-15 but couldn't even get into the NIT. Brady is far from a great coach, adequate at best.

What happened to Turegon? I thought that was almost all but a done deal?

Aggies to name Turgeon Coach

Wichita State's Turgeon to coach AggiesBy Andy Katz

Texas A&M will officially name Wichita State's Mark Turgeon its next men's basketball coach at a 4 p.m. ET news conference on Tuesday, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN.com Monday night.

Turgeon will sign a five-year contract, with an automatic rollover of three years, giving him an eight-year deal. He will earn $1.2 million per year, which is $550,000 short of what Billy Gillispie was going to receive before he left last week for Kentucky.

ESPN.com reported Sunday that Turgeon was expected to get an offer Monday. Turgeon toured the College Station campus Monday after meeting with A&M athletic director Bill Byrne. In Reed Arena, the school displayed a message welcoming Turgeon and his wife. He returned to Wichita on Monday night to meet with his players after accepting the job.

If you read the posts that I responded to, you would see that I responded to the claim that Brady was "the worst coach in the country". He aint John Wooden, he aint even Dale Brown, but he is far from "the worst coach in the country". FYI, a win is a win. What difference does it make what time of year the Tigers beat the Aggies? Both teams were healthy.

I don't remember bringing UK into the discussion. Wasn't even comparing the two. It's called an obsession with big brother

:thumb: :thumb:

Excatly! ;)

Brady is in the same class as Dale Brown, LSU can have you down and you think that the game is lost / over - you then look across to the opposing bench and see Brady and you know that you have a chance.

Yeah, I know that B. Knight said this about D. Brown but it also fits Brady.

Looks like A&M is set to hire Mark Turgeon, former Kansas guard and current Wichita St. coach.

Yeah it is..... I have a little knowledge on the bad coaching going on at LSU. I know a former player and father pretty well.....:D Brady had the second most talented team in the SEC and didn't do a thing this year. This has happened more often than not. He is a joke........Get real!!!!!!!
