Highlands vs. Trotwood (Take #2)

Featured Replies

Ram Attack, since I shared, what will be the strengths/weaknesses of the Rams this year?

Well i gave a break down earlier...but here goes.

OFFENSE. Almost every starter at the Skills positions is back along with the Top reserves who played a lot on fridays. TM played a new offense last year, going form the I to the Spread and put up record numbers.

QB (Domonick Britt) Amassed over 4K yards Passing and Rushing. Close or over 2K yards rushing as a team last year. Offers from Minnesoat, Illinois, West Virginia, Louisville, Soon to be Cincinnati, Ran a 4.59 at Nike Sunday.

Add a RB (Michael Shaw) who came back to his home school from Archbishop Kettering Alter, who has offers from Nebraska, Iowa, Vandy, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Maryland, etc 10.65 100m already this year.

WR's are a strong position for TM. Brandon Moore, 6'6" 243 Offers from Florida, Notre Dame, Michigan, Tennessee, Clemson, Georgia, Fla St, Miami Fl. Etc. Roy Roundtree 6'2" 185 offers from most the MAC's, Texas Tech, and soon to be UC. Ran a 4.49 at Nike on Sunday. Are 2 of the top players.

OL is big and only 1 senior so this would be the weakness of the offense, however, they add several thick stalky players who will be an upgrade from last season. After losing 2 D-1 OT's

DEFENSE

DL - Along with WR the most talented and deepest part of the team. Moore will play some DE as well as playign WR. The rest of the DL will be all seniors and led by Corey Holt, 6'1" 284 and Rickey Smith 6' 275.

LB" Jamiihr Williams 6'2" 230, Ike Washington 6'1" 288 (May move to DT) Domonique Sams 6'3" 220. Washington will be the BEst Defensive player in our league next year and is better at DT.

DB: Most unproven, James Aubrey 6' 184, and Dwayne Byrd 5'11" 176 (4.47 at Nike Sunday) wil be the Corners and Derricus Purdy 6'1" 190, and Corey Byers 5'10" 172 will be the safeties.

Weakness will be OL and DB. But the way they play on offense the OL should be able to keep up since last years OL was absolutely aweful. Outside of the 2 OT's. The interior will be strong and OT's should step up. 6'5" 281 Jr will be stepping up. As well as the Returning Starter will move out to OT, if 6'8" 290 Tackle can't play due to a basketball foot injury. IF he can play....this group will be solid.

DB's will be just unproven. Talented group, but just unproven.

Thanks for the report Ram Attack.

You mentioned that the Trotwood coaches had attended some of Highlands spring practices. Do you know their observations of Highlands?

I honestly do not, I just know that my nephew told me that the freshman coaches ran the weight room for some of the days the past few weeks. And the varsity coaches were leaving school early as well on those same days the freshman coaches were in the weight room.

TM does not get out of school until 4:15.

Is this game and games even going to happen. When i was sitting at the scrimmage on Friday i overheard a certain person who seems to know what he is talking about said he didn't think the game wouldn't even happen.

By the looks of you avatar and location I'm guessing that's one of the many deer roaming the streets of Ft Thomas?

Yeah he's a dandy. You would be a pig too if you had unlimited food supply and lived in a non-hazardous area.:D

Man, i can't wait until this game. Does anybody know what the parking situation is like in Clifton. It's time to start getting the bus ready. We have good stuff planned!!!!

It's the HUGE Riverfest celebration. It happens every year on both sides of Cincinnati's riverfront. The day-long event ends with one of the nation's largest fireworks shows. What makes it special is the setting and the acoustics of being down in the river valley among all those tall buildings. Lots of bang for the buck! It's a MUST SEE! :thumb:

^^^^^ Wow I have lived an hour away for almost my life, and have never heard of this. The Fam will hav to check this out. Thanks for the info.

This sounds like an awsome football team. Good Luck to them and their opponents this year....

I may go to the game just to see Michael Shaw from Trotwood since he has an offer from my huskers.

The TE Brandon Moore from Trotwood has committed to Michigan just recently.
