I said in a thread a week ago that you love Tubby more than I love my wife. Every comment that anyone makes, you compare it to Tubby Smith. Sometimes change is good; Tubby going to Minnesota was good for him and UK. I hope the Gophers have success every year. But please, PLEASE, stop making so many comparisons to the previous coach, because its the same thing as "Tubby-bashers" comparing him to Rick Pitino.

April 6, 200719 yr Well I woke up today at 1 from a fun night last night, I turned it on ESPN and we were announcing Billy G as the next coach!!! I must say I had no clue about this because I was out all night, so it was a great surprise to me when I saw it on tv!!! This guy was my top choice if we didn't get Billy D., and now after watching him in the press conference I am even more excited to have him now! I think he will do GREAT things for this program!!! For him to leave and play right away he would have to be granted his release...which doesn't seem likely....so that means he would have to sit out a year and take a redshirt.

While Florida might not have granted releases if Donovan had come, A&M has no reason to stick it to the kids.

I heard someone say that they would grant him a release earlier today. Don't know if thats true or not, just what I heard.
