April 6, 200719 yr ^^I'm not convinced he wasn't the #2 choice.....I know the talking heads have said it was Donovan, Barnes, and THEN Gillispie, but I doubt it would have been done so quickly if he wasn't #2. My thoughts exactly! :thumb: :thumb: Imo he was #2 all along, maybe #1 if Barnhart just wanted to suggest Donovan to satisfy a lot of the fan base but I doubt that.

April 6, 200719 yr It does not matter if he was 1st,2nd,3rd 4th choice what matters is he was the best choice for the job. He is exactly what UK needed and the opposite of Tubby. You hit the nail on the head. All of the UK bashers had better get their licks in early. This guy can coach AND recruit. I wonder if the anti UK crowd is just a little nervous?
