I think UK gets Lucas and it will be sooner rather than later IMO.

That would help possibly with the recruitment of Patterson.

I've heard PPs mom say it might be mid-May before he makes a decision.

^ yeah...she was quoted as saying he will wait to near the end of the signing perioid before he inks his name.

Sounds to me like they're not only trying to help the school he goes to, but hurt the other schools as well, because if they wait till mid-May and hold a scholly open, there likely won't be anything left to scoop up.

It will never happen, but IMO it'd serve them right if the big names filled their slots and PP ended up playing at some podunk school in low D1.

I don't blame either (JL/PP) for wanting to find the best fit for them, but it comes to a point where they need to sign or just move on. I'm sure plenty of top notch schools could "find" a scholorship for either if need be.

Very mature, DragonFire, I'm impressed.

The kid has 4 or 5 very good basketball programs after him, all of which are fine academic institutions and you want him to get a bad deal because he hasn't committed to your school yet. Pardon me if I find that a bit ridiculous.

I want PP to come to UK just as much as the next guy and I honestly think the chances get better as the process drags out. But let the KID make his own decision and do what's best for him.

Is it possible that PP's grades aren't in order?

Don't you think that would have come out by now?

Would make sense. I don't see any other reason why he is waiting so long. The schools he has on his final list all of coaches in place. Why wait?

I don't really expect him at UK, so it really doesn't bother me from that standpoint. If he goes to UK, that's just a bonus now. So go ahead and find it ridiculous. I'm just saying that I think they're playing games with this whole process. How often do you hear of a MAJOR recruit like PP waiting until mid-May to commit?

As far as them as "academic institutions", do you honestly believe that plays any part whatsoever? They're looking for a one and done deal.

No way Jai Lucas is looking for a 1 and done....He's got a long ways to go to even consider the NBA and even then, may never be NBA caliber... Patterson has the potential to play in the NBA, but, I think he'll play at least 2 years before testing the waters...

When I say "they're", I mean Patterson and his mother. And I do think they'll think about leaving after one unless he has an awful season.

Bob Huggins @ WV will get Patterson, Beasley will follow, Jai Lucas will end up there also. Neither of these guys would make the grades @ Duke or they would have committed already. JMHO

Beasley already said he is honoring his LOI. So your 0-1 so far.

Patterson actualy makes pretty good grades from what I have been told from people close to him at Huntington. And by talking with him or interviewing him he seems pretty smart.
