April 5, 200719 yr WKYT just reported and it's confirmed that UK has asked and received permission to speak with Billy D. It was the first story reported on the 11:00 news.:thumb:
April 5, 200719 yr ESPN just had a report that featured Andy Katz again and he said just the opposite.......He said Florida has NOT been contacted by UK to ask permission to speak to Donovan at this point. He said, in his opinion, if Billy D were to consider UK it may drag on a few days.
April 5, 200719 yr At this point I expect a story to break where UK has gotten permission to talk to the head of the nearby YETI family in the pacific northwest. Billy needs to cancel his vacation, sign an extension with Florida, sign with Kentucky, do SOMETHING asap.

I don't believe it was live; I don't think Andy Katz would wait all night for a two-minute live spot on a mid-week SportsCenter. This "permission granted" has most likely happened during the last couple hours.

April 5, 200719 yr ^^^If it's going to be Billy D, I have to think that it will be before he leaves for vacation... I don't think the vacation will have anything to do with it. If he is indeed that interested I'm sure UK can afford a ticket to fly down and sign him and I'm sure for that amount of money he can take a couple of hours out of his vacation. I'm sure most of the negotiating will take place with his agent anyway--if both parties want this to happen a vacation won't be the reason it doesn't.
