However, he also said, if people need to move on and make a move (translation) UK, then he understands. My opinion is this: Billy D. is coming to UK. My reason for believing this is, if there really was a "plan B" then we would of heard by now who it is. Secondly, there are to many of the Coaches who have been rumored, already signing extensions, or taking other jobs. As far as Rick Barnes goes: The more I think about it, the more I don't think it would happen. Mitch realizes this is his make or break move at UK. If he brings in someone like Barnes, who has NO roots at all at UK then he had better perform, and do it fast. On the other hand, if he brings in say a Travis Ford, then he at least knows Travis has been a fan favorite in the past, and the fans may be a little more patient. So in my opinion, I think, and (really hope) it's BD. But if not, I honestly believe Travis Ford gets his shot.

Put it this way, I have felt pretty good about UK's chances with Billy D, although after Monday night I was not as sure, but tonight is probably as high as they have been in getting him. I think UK is being very careful in not trying to step on anyone's toes, and just trying to finish this thing off.

April 5, 200719 yr If Billy gets the job, what would be the point of UK naming him coach and then letting him go on vacation. He would be bombarded while on vacation by press and by constant work trying to name a staff and finish recruiting. I would think that if UK is going to name Billy the coach they will wait till after his vacation to do this. Just my opinion. Does this make sense? So we just to write off this year in recruiting?

He was also on Sportscenter last night reporting that UK had not attempted to contact Florida for permission to speak with Donovan....At the same time it was reported that they had been granted permission...The guy is a moron. He claims that he has had discussions with Billy D. regarding the UK job and that he is not leaving, but Donovan's father and wife don't no what he's going to do? He's a hack.
April 5, 200719 yr The only difference between Katz and Packer is that Katz has nappy hair and Packer has no hair. Otherwise they both make me want to throw up. I agree with Nets and UKMustang, both are hacks.
