I agree....I don't think anything official will happen before he returns, but I could definitely see an "agreement in principal" kinda deal. I agree with RP though, it would be shady IMO for him to do anything before the title celebration on Friday. He owes it to the players and the university to at least wait until after that.

It's wrong for UK to not give him the chance to celebrate the title, and it would be wrong on his part to disrespect his school and players like that. If he does it Friday evening or later, as RP said, I'm fine with it. Definitely not before the celebration though.

If his and agent and he get it done, and sit on it until after the celebration I'm okay with it, but not before hand. That just wouldn't be right on his or UK's part to announce any deals before than.
April 5, 200719 yr UK has not commented on anything to this point and I don't think they would until all parties were ready. I'm still not convinced that Donovan will leave Florida but I can understand all sides wanting to bring this to a quick conclusion.

He would be bombarded while on vacation by press and by constant work trying to name a staff and finish recruiting. I would think that if UK is going to name Billy the coach they will wait till after his vacation to do this. Just my opinion. Does this make sense?
April 5, 200719 yr Let the negotiations and speculation.....get more interesting. The negotiating is done, unless more money is needed. It is a matter of semantics and getting a signature.

If he goes on vacation and this is unresolved, the press will hound him MORE than if he makes a decision then goes on a well deserved vacation. The decision is done at that point and he can try to just enjoy time with his family. Just my humble opinion.
