June 14, 200719 yr Given the afternoon off after a night game...  Yeah at his age, those day games come awfully early.
June 14, 200719 yr No matter when Bailey came up it was going to be pressure packed due to the hype surrounding him. However, why would this not be a good time? The Reds are in last place, and until this week, were headed even further into the cellar. Where is the pressure for him to perform in terms of what it means in the standings? I believe that this is a perfect time for him to work out the kinks, get used to the MLB atmosphere, and still have room to develop as a starter. He's shown that he's a better alternative than Livingston or Milton before he got hurt.MLB pitchers, don't work out the kinks at this level, which is what's wrong with the current staff, too many kinks. Going through spring training and starting the year, is the best way. Fresh from several starts, against MLB caliber pitching and I'm sorry, but if you don't think Bailey and the management, aren't feeling pressure to produce, you're mistaken. For the last 1 2/ years, Bailey's name has been used with every adjective, from "savior" to "the answer". He's on a team, that desperately needs quality MLB pitching and a mid-season AAA move, isn't going to solve those needs....just yet. I won't even comment on Livingston or Milton, been there, done that.
June 14, 200719 yr Hamilton left the game with complaints of dizziness. I hope it's not the Nick Esasky vertigo. :scared:
