June 14, 200719 yr That's a catch 22. I would have to be completely drunk to tolerate a conversation with Jim Day. Very true. :thumb:
June 14, 200719 yr He never saw it off the bat. Go sit behind LF for the first few innings on a sunny day. It's brutal... Once it lands though you would expect some effort. You would think he would have known the general vicinity of the ball.
June 14, 200719 yr Author Once it lands though you would expect some effort. You would think he would have known the general vicinity of the ball. Now you're just looking to complain. It would have been hard to keep Figgens from a 2B either way, so it's a moot point...
June 14, 200719 yr Now you're just looking to complain. It would have been hard to keep Figgens from a 2B either way, so it's a moot point... No, I'm looking for effort. I don't care that he didn't cut it off, but the fact there was not even the slightest bit of effort irks me.
June 14, 200719 yr I think Dunn is a little faster than people think. He's a big dude, so it looks like he's lumbering around out there, but I'd be willing to bet he puts up a decent time on a stop watch.

So you clearly prefer he just pick a direction on a ball he never saw off the bat and start running? I'd love to see the replies on here if he sprinted away from a ball hit right at him...

I'd love to see the replies on here if he sprinted away from a ball hit right at him... That's what, in his case, the CF is for.....When I played we were always taught that on sunny days the CF gives you direction. Even if he wasn't given any help on it, which I would find hard to believe, he should still be able to find it once it hits the ground.
June 14, 200719 yr Dunn got booed for EVERYTHING. I booed Coffey though. I think I called him a red-headed jerk, too.
June 14, 200719 yr Dunn got booed for EVERYTHING. I booed Coffey though. I think I called him a red-headed jerk, too. So he came in, loaded the bases and left without getting an out, no reason to be so MEAN!

June 14, 200719 yr 3 rows behind the Reds dugout today! 3 hours to go. Just make sure when you see Dunner, tell him to ignore all the trade talk and come to BGP where we all appreciate his wealth of talent.
