March 30, 200719 yr I'm worried about Billy D now after hearing: He raised money to build a catholic high school that his son plays at, that Billy's dad coaches at. His wife loves Gainesville, (remember Pitino's wife wanting out of Lexington). Also, his in-laws just moved to Gainesville...

You must have been listening to ESPN, I just heard that also, wonder how we didn't know about this before!
March 30, 200719 yr You must have been listening to ESPN, I just heard that also, wonder how we didn't know about this before! Yeah I put it in your other thread. Billy D is in a great situation. He's gonna get really rich at UK, or pretty rich at UF. If he declines, I guess its Wright.
March 30, 200719 yr If Billy D signs with Kentucky on Tuesday he doesnt have that long of a drive/fly to Huntington where he will be speaking at a foundation dinner wednesday. http://herdzone.cstv.com/genrel/022807aaa.html My source ? A man who is involved in setting up the chairs at the dinner, he's a family friend. Nah, not really...Marshall.edu:thumb:

March 31, 200719 yr How about 7 years at $3.5 mil? ESPN says 2.8 with a chance at 3.5 with performance based incentive.
March 31, 200719 yr ESPN says 2.8 with a chance at 3.5 with performance based incentive. They also said that was just the starting offer...
March 31, 200719 yr Money will not be an option in this case. It will be simply what Donovan wants to do. In addition, the money that has been discussed at the end of 7 years is more than what has been reported. BTW, the offer UK made was significantly more than what Florida was offering in their extension proposal to Donovan. UK will drop a bunch of money at his feet and more if need be. It will be whether or not Donovan wants to stay or go.
March 31, 200719 yr They also said that was just the starting offer... ..and then Florida will get involved.
