March 16, 200719 yr Just got in from the game, WOW it was exciting. Doellman led the Muskies with 23 and Lavender chipped in a quiet 17. D-Brown came up huge tonight with 16 rebounds. Good win for the X-men!
March 16, 200719 yr Way to see Doellman stepping up his game, I'd love to see him take them to the sweet 16. I know Oden will over power them inside but I did pick the upset....
March 16, 200719 yr X played extremely well in the 2nd half, should be a good game against OSU. I hope so, I have two concerns for X. The first is that Oden will eat them alive, my second is that they're just as concerned as I am about Oden and get dominated on the outside. It did just occur to me that OSU's coach is X's old one that just up and left them. WOW, this game just got a whole lot more intense. Can't wait til saturday.

Don't forget that Cage, Cole and JD were a big part of getting Thad to O$U with the "Final 5" run as freshman....
March 16, 200719 yr Congrats to X and a Kentucky boy on putting this one together. The road ahead is tough but making it to the tournament and then advancing is a great accomplishment for the Muskies.
March 16, 200719 yr What an amazing game. I'm dog tired, I won't lie. Fun atmosphere last night, especially considering the OSU game had even Buckeye fans bored to death. BYU has some unbelievable perimeter shooters. #2 (Rose?) was out of his freaking mind. Young was a really tough player, fun to watch, but at least Doellman (I was shocked it was his assignment...2 years ago they'd have hid JD on defense now he drew their best player) made him take a series of tough turnaround fade-aways. Doellman was great. Drew was really good in the 2nd half (I thought he only finished with 15?) -- 2 huge three-balls and some of his patented tear-drop runners. Duncan was a zilch until the last 2 minutes, when he stole a pass on the baseline (huge stop!!) and then went hard to the hole and converted both free throws. I'd like to personally thank Stan for once again giving XU absolutely noting (literally) in a huge game. GT, the X people around me were saying over and over again: "...Stan with another UC type performance...(where he went 0 for 10)." Fun game to watch...great atmosphere...had to be fun to watch on TV as well.
March 16, 200719 yr Great win for X and having said that......................Crap!!! they were one of the two teams that beat me on my bracket yesterday.
March 16, 200719 yr Battle of Ohio, :fight: in Lexington???? I would like to see the big X pull an upset, but I don't think it will happen.:irked:
March 16, 200719 yr Fantastic atmosphere last night. I was really surprised at the BYU contingent that showed up. They really made some noise.
March 16, 200719 yr Glad to see Xavier bring home the W, I was a little nervous there in the second half. I have Ohio St. beating them next round but seeing the upset would probably be worth it.
March 16, 200719 yr I figured Xavier would win. I watched BYU practice on Thursday. They are a very fun team to watch. I wish I could have watched it, but it was not on much in Lexington. Lavender made some big plays down the stretch.
March 16, 200719 yr Author Don't forget that Cage, Cole and JD were a big part of getting Thad to O$U with the "Final 5" run as freshman.... Also Miller and Matta are still best of friends. Should be a great game! Congrats to JD that kid works as hard as anyone!
