I hope Micah Johnson gets things straightened out. We will really need him to make an impact next year on D' after graduation of this years class. He is just one of those veratile players that can play and make an impact in more position than just one, and we need that versatilty.

Just when you think progress is being made in the program....

Hopefully, this is a wake-up call from Brooks to get these guys to straighten up before the season starts. Hopefully, there isn't a bigger story to it.

I agree and hope that everythng works out for these young men. I do like the fact that Brooks is stern in what he expects and sticks to his guns.

UK has really had a bad run of luck on the in state talent that they bring in...I wonder what the deal is?

Yeah, Burton is just awful and I have no idea why Woodson even bothers to show up.

The Johnson brothers have alot of talent. Lets hope this little incident gets their attention.

Didn't Micah Jones quit last year (and the year before)? Or is that just me?

A promising prospect who never got his priorities straight. Hopefully the Johnson brother's can get their acts together before it's too late. I was always under the impression that they were good students, but maybe that was just my imagination. It seems if you're from a military family, you wouldn't want to take a "D" home to Dad. :D

These guys will be back. They just let their grades get away from them for a little bit. The only issue is really the chance of them not getting to participate in spring practice if they dont get things going before then.

Unfortunate that Jones could never get healthy and motivated. Wish him the best and hope he stays in school.

Jarrell Williams had potential to be a good player for us. Hope he ends up somewhere that he can succeed.

Those two are great....I didn't mean to be negative...I was merely talking about Lonnell DeWalt, Bo Smith, Anthony Wadja (sp?), Micah Johnson, Christian Johnson, Micah Jones, and a couple others...sorry, seriously.

I was thinking the same thing. I really can't remembering him playing! I think he might have been overhyped by dominating against Class A competition. Not that he couldn't play at UK, but I don't think he was prepared for how tough it was. Then the injuries set in.

You shouldn't apologize at all. Anyone who is not a homer could tell that you were not intending to put anyone down.

Think he means there grades?

00Rocket, you've been around too long. ;):D

A lot of kids have trouble adjusting to the workload of college academics and college athletics.

Shoot, a lot of non-athletes have trouble adjusting from highschool to college academically.

I'm not saying anything at all negative about any of the kids. But, could the recent issues just be tied to normal adjustments that need to be made?

What kind of academic assistance program does the program have in place to assist the athletes?

I know that UL has made huge strides in both the assistance offered to athletes, as well as the academic success of their athletes. There's been a concentrated effort to that end.

Not to get off topic, I wish that UL would make similar efforts for their non-athlete students.
