Holmes may be taking on the KHSAA...

Featured Replies

Reggie Revels transferred to Holmes High School. The KHSAA prevented him from playing. A hearing officer disagreed with the KHSAA. However, since Reggie Revels is a senior and tournament play began, we filed a court action. Judge Summe has ruled that if the (KHSAA) Board of Control does not rule by tomorrow on the KHSAA appeal, Reggie Revels can play. Whether he plays or not will obviously be a decision of the Holmes athletic department.

Be interesting to see the decision.

The "we" in "we filed a court action" is from Eric Deters.

Is he considered an impact player?

Who would have guessed?

When did he transfer to Holmes?

Why take on this fight? Holmes doesn't need him to be successful, they are playing just fine.

First of all, what coach in his right mind would play a kid that had not even practiced with the team the entire season?

He has been there and practicing most of the year.

He has been there and practicing most of the year.

That's not what Henley was quoted as saying:

Although Revels could be eligible for Friday’s game and the Ninth Region tournament that begins next week, whether or not he’ll play is up to coach David Henley. Revels has yet to practice with the team and Henley said he has never seen him play.

“I don’t know how good he is,” Henley said. “… And when they ruled him ineligible I forgot all about it. I can’t see him coming in and playing in front of the guys who have been in here all year busting their butts, unless he’s just that good. I don’t know. I hadn’t really thought about it.”

Will Revels play CovCath?

And you believe that!

If you don't think Henley has seen or doesn't know anything about this

Kid then I got a couple of front row seats you can buy at the sweet 16.

He has been practicing with them.

Why would Henley say the kid hasn't practiced with the team if he really has? Is there a rule saying he should not be practicing with the team?

I'm not saying you're wrong, just seems strange.

No offense either way. It is just typical coach statement to the press.

And yes there is never a dull moment with Holmes Basketball Program.

Yes, there is a rule. If he has not been cleared to play by the KHSAA, then he cannot practice with the team.
