February 20, 200719 yr I wish... Blame the school. http://gobearcats.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/hicks_eric00.html Maybe the same people that measured Barkley measured Hicks as well.
February 20, 200719 yr Porter is a poor man's Patrick Sparks. I liked Sparks too. With all do respect. Porter is much more athletic than Sparks and not nearly the defensive liability.
February 20, 200719 yr How did he TANK so much? He is now pushing Woo/Shagari rankings. HE doesnt really see the ball much on his guard oriented team, thus his stats suffer.
February 20, 200719 yr Kind of like Bogans, Prince, Fitch, Daniels, Estill....All those guys peaked there freshman year:rolleyes: Prince won a championship, Fitch and Daniels were on a team their SENIOR year that, IMO, was the best team in the nation. So much for peaking freshman year. I don't get what your point is. So the kid has 3 stars. Stuff like that doesn't mean didly squat. The Bengals were picked to win the Super Bowl and where did they end up? Yeah, injuries and off-field troubles didn't help, but off field issues weren't missing tackles and what not. The kid isn't coming to UK to be a one man team and carry the whole team to the national championship, he is coming to become a better player and HELP the team so what do you want from him? And you can't blame all of it on Tubby and his staff. If a kid doesn't want to come then he doesn't want to come that's his choice. Your not going to get every 5 star player out there.
February 20, 200719 yr Re-read his post and you'll see that you're more than likely on the same side.
February 20, 200719 yr :thumb: Excatly HT. It is like I have said before - the bashing/complaining would/will go on no matter what Tubby does or doesn't do. The man could go undefeated the rest of the way out, win a national title (not gonna happen this season) and I can promise you that some would still be bashing, the others would be breaking ankles and arms jumping back on the bandwagon. This line of thinking is just so lame. I prefer people who bash futility 100-1 over people who defend it...
February 20, 200719 yr This line of thinking is just so lame. I prefer people who bash futility 100-1 over people who defend it... Example "A" of what I was talking about.   Thank you, that proves my point even more. I will stand by my post and my support of U.K. basketball and OTS or whoever the coach may be in the future as well as ones in the past.
February 20, 200719 yr ^ I also prefer fans that support a team 100% rather than all their post being negative.
February 20, 200719 yr ^ I also prefer fans that support a team 100% rather than all their post being negative. Negative results bring negative comments from all who don't accept negative results...show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser.
February 20, 200719 yr Not the most athletic kid, but make no doubt, no one will outwork this kid...very tough down low, and has the ability, now that he worked hard over the summer, to step out and shoot out to three(not great but can shoot there)
February 20, 200719 yr He is 140 in the updated Rivals rankings released today... Still not impressed.

February 20, 200719 yr Tubby Bashers post facts and Tubby supporters don't. That's simply a joke. There have been plenty of facts posted both ways. If you want to bash Tubby, that's fine, but don't act like there isn't an argument the other way.
